Doll Babies

My cute, former neighbor made this darling quilt for her new grand baby. I love it, the pattern is called Doll Babies by Quilt Soup.

My picture doesn't do justice but her applique is AMAZING! It's all done by hand and perfectly turned under. She's also got a little blanket stitch around the headbands and it's so perfect it's hard to tell it's by hand! Someday I'll try hand applique like this, until then, I'll stick with the machine:)

Randomness @ Piece N Quilt

We've been busy here. Lots of quilting and moving lots of fabric! We were preparing room for the new Moda fabric Essence and the little one decided that she wanted to take a little napski on the fabric shelf. I thought it was so cute!:)

We've been quilting a few more Halloween quilts. Can you believe that Halloween is this Saturday?

I love this little snowman, maybe because I'm in love with this collection. Crazy 8.

And last but not defenitly not least. We quilted this darling boy quilt! I love, love, love this quilt! I'm so impressed with how cute it is!

The mystery with borders.

I was able to get the borders added onto my quilt. It was a little tricky because the green border finished 1/4". I'm thinking it like it!

I'm now deciding how to quilt it and then thinking that I'll use the same black material for the binding, or if I get really into it maybe I'll do some green piping then the black binding.
What do you think? I'd love to hear some feedback! :)

Another mystery......but I need some help!

Today was the big day for another mystery quilt. I was all packed up ready to go sew all day when the baby sitter, aka my husband, let me know that he had to work and I wouldn't be able to leave the little disctructo home alone, AND I'm sure the other ladies didn't want me to take her with me:) So I did my mystery quilt from home and have been sending messages via facebook all day!

This is my top! I'm really happy with how it turned out! I used Authentic material and I just need some help deciding what to do for borders... I'm thinking maybe something black but not sure. If you have a great idea I'd love the help!

Thanks for sharing Jana!

Another Mystery!

Tomorrow I get to go spend the day working on another mystery quilt! I am sew excited! I've chosen to use materials from the Authentic collection! I can't wait! I will have pictures next week!

The Utah state quilt guild hosted a mystery quilt along through their newsletter. My friends Cantella Box (Shantelle Cox and Cat Beckstead) designed the quilt and I think they did an amazing job!
I was able to quilt their quilts and it was so much fun!

It's fun to see how different they are yet from the same pattern!
There are a few more photos of quilts from the ladies around Utah that also made this. Go check them out on the Utah state quilt guild website!

I CAN sew!

Okay, so you're probably all thinking that I'm crazy, my job is sewing and quilting! Well I've never made anything besides quilts. Today I got this random idea that I wanted to make a bag. Who really knows why, I have a million of them but I just decided that I needed another one! :)

This is the bag!
I made it with Authentic materials and Amy Butler's Birdie Sling pattern and I love how it turned out! It's actually pretty big and it even has three pockets on the inside! So yes I can sew! Maybe I'll get daring and make some sort of clothing for my daughter........lol!

Self Binding Recieving Blanket

We've had a lot of interest in our Self Binding Receiving baby blankets tutorial so we thought we'd remind everyone how cute and simple they are! They are my favorite to give as shower gifts. I've even done a little bit of applique on a few of them to spice things up! :)
This one was for baby Gabriel. I added his name in with a little applique.

Kathleen and I made all of these one Saturday morning. Perfcet for gifts!

These are just a few more that we made for gifts using Butterfly Fling material.

Head on over to Cluck Cluck Sew and see some more darling Self Binding Receiving blankets.

Christmas Stockings

If you remember Whitnee recently pieced this quilt, Figgy Christmas.(Tutorial available here.)

After she was done she decided that she needed more cute Christmas decorations. So she got this book.

And made these darling stockings using Figgy Pudding material and the patterns in this book.

I think they turned out so darling! She is going to have the cutest home around come Christmas time. She is also currently in the process of designing a Christmas Tree Skirt using more Figgy Pudding material. (tutorial will be available soon.) I can't wait til she gets it all done, what I've seen so far it's very cute!

The book New Noel is available here and besides these darling stockings it also has patterns for a table runner, some ornaments, pillowcases, pillows and some cute mini stockings! Very cute book!

Here are some darling quilts that some of our awesome quilting friends have made!

I think this one is so cute! I love the story behind it. This cute customer recently went on a cruise to Alaska and she picked up the cute eskimo panels. She then pieced them into this cute quilt to remember her vacation. How cool is that!

This cute quilt was made by another one of our customers for her grandson. I really like how happy it is!

Cute fall quilt made using a gobble gobble charm pack. Pattern is also similar to our 9 Birdie Baby tutorial.

I just think this one is happy! Makes me excited for spring! Even though that's a long way away:)
