Deep Blue Sea

Just in case you weren't able to get over to Moda Bake Shop yesterday and see this quilt. This is my most recent tutorial. This quilt is made using two Nautical & Nice turnovers and a panel, plus some yardage.
Even though this quilt was a little bit out of my normal routine of quilts I LOVE how it turned out!

Here are a few pictures of the quilting.
I had a lot of fun quilting this quilt.
So, what do you think?
Are you surprised that I sewed so many points?
Have you made anything with a turnover?
You can see the complete tutorial over @ Moda Bake Shop.

  2. YAY - you did points!! Next on my to-do list is a quilt with 2 turnovers - I can't wait to get working on it now that I see yours! I really like this quilt - it would be so perfect for a beach house!!
    Great job!

  4. I LOVE this! Too bad I didn't have this back in November! I made a baby quilt for a friend that did a Nautical Theme for her baby's room. This would have been perfect! Mine turned out ok, but this would have been great!

  6. I love this quilt. Your quilting on it is so cool. Wow, lots of points. I haven't used a turnover yet. I will with my next quilt. Now that I see how to use turnovers, I can't find them in very many fabric lines.

  13. beautiful! I'm still regretting not getting the snippits turnover when you had it on sale a while back. I'll have to get one eventually and practice some points. I'll be sure to refer back to your tutorial on this quilt. Beautiful quilting as usual!
