Thanks again to Amy for hosting such an awesome event! I look forward to Bloggers Quilt Festival every spring and fall. It's such a fun opportunity to meet new bloggers and make new friends!
Each time that I've participated in the festival I've shared a quilt that has been the most special to me over the past six months.
Well, this time I'll do the same.
Earlier this year this design of mine was accepted to be published in American Patchwork & Quilting, HUGE HONOR!
{blushing here}
Then after it was accepted I was told that my quilt was going to be on the cover of the magazine.
{okay try not to pee my pants}
So, a couple weeks ago I receive my copy of American Patchwork & Quilting and there it was.... my quilt on the cover.
Okay, right now I should be somewhere between Utah and Texas, on my way to quilt market! YIPEE!
Yesterday before I decided to pack my bags, or even thing about headed to market I finished machine quilting this beautiful shaded 9 patch quilt for Marcia.
It's a beautiful quilt made from 9 patches!
I love just looking at the different patterns that you can see in this quilt.
Marcia asked me to custom quilt this beautiful quilt, so I quilted a fun vine in the light areas.
Then I quilted a flower in each of the darker squares.
Then I finished the quilt off with some beautiful feathers in the dark areas. I just love how it turned out!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend. I'm planning to update a couple times while at quilt market but... sometimes that just doesn't happen. If not...I'll have lots of updates next week!
I mentioned yesterday over on facebook that Christmas is only two months away! Holy cow, time is flying!!
Genny pieced this beautiful Countdown to Christmas quilt. I LOVE IT!. Maybe because I'm in love with the fabric line or maybe because it's made from a jelly roll or maybe because it's just so dang cute!
I machine quilted some modern quilting, I love how it made the fabrics just pop!
I love it!
Thanks for letting me quilt your darling quilt Genny!
Here is the quilt that I pieced using this darling Countdown to Christmas fabric.
Jamie always has awesome quilts for me to machine quilt. But this one may be one of my favorites so far!
I haven't ever personally pieced a modern quilt but this one really put the modern piecing bug in me!
Jamie asked me to custom machine quilt this one however I wanted! Seriously I was in heaven. :) Really, I stayed at the studio last night until after eleven because I didn't want to stop quilting this!
Lots of detail and every row is something different.
I don't always count all of the thread colors that I use but this quilt I did, and I used 12 different colors.
I thought that all the colors looked kinda cool next to each other.
I may have gone a little crazy taking pictures of this quilt.....
