Joan pieced this beautiful brown and yellow Double Irish Chain quilt.
She asked me to custom machine quilt it for her. She wanted to quilt to look traditional.
So, I machine quilted feather medallions and cross hatching. Very traditional, I do have to admit, my feathers in the borders aren't the most traditional looking but I do think they turned out pretty cool! :)
In the studio I have some great lighting while quilts are on my long arm machine. So I love to take little pictures of quilts while they are on the machine. The lighting on the machine always looks so cool.
So this was a little picture of the quilt while it was on the machine.
Oh my goodness, this quilt is awesome. I have an Irish chain quilt pattern that I have had for years that I just stare at - maybe I will get it out and try it. This pictures gives me courage. I love your quilting!!!
