Modern Quilts From the Blogging Universe

**Giveaway is closed**
I am so excited and flattered today that I get to share this book. Modern Quilts from the Blogging Universe.
Martingale published this beautiful collaboration book and I am so honored that they included me in the book.
Designing this quilt for this collaboration book was a lot of fun. Times were a little crazy, like having a baby, so my kind aunt Ilene pieced this darling quilt for me. She did a great job doing so! THANKS so much!

Since receiving this book I've had a lot of fun reading the bios. Each pattern comes with a photo and a little snippet about each contributor. It's fun to read through them and learn more about other quilt bloggers out there! :)

To kick off this great book Martingale is giving away FREE e-copies of Modern Quilts From the Blogging Universe! Simply leave me a comment, tell me what about this fun bloggy land has inspired you the most!

Winner will be announced January 28, 2013!

  1. Congratulations on the book! I love your quilt. What has inspired me the most? Besides seeing all of the beautiful quilts, I think it is the fact that quilters love to share. In today's world it seems that too many times people are out for their own interests, but quilters are happy to share. That is what I am inspired most by.

  48. Sometimes I seem most inspired when I see the same quilt made of different fabrics. It can really show how color & fabric placement can make the same quilt look so different

    ReplyDelete
  49. I've been inspired the most regarding the FMQ and Long-arming. I've tried both this past year and it has taken my quilting to another level.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I love the movement in your quilt - that in itself is inspiring. I do, however, find myself inspired by the way so many bloggers interpret a pattern or fabric differently. It's made me think about things in new ways - in a good way.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I think the most inspiring thing about blogland is the way people are so generous with their knowledge and time. They spend days making tutorials and patterns and offer them for free. People spend days arranging swaps and bees, just because they think it would be a good idea. Blogland connects us into a virtual community rather than a physical one, but it is a real one nonetheless.

    ReplyDelete

  179. I am inspired by you young designers who have families and yet still machine quilt for others, plus design quilts and write books and have time to blog! I also am inspired by the beautiful colors of modern quilting and how simple is okay. The design is part of the quilt but doesn't mind being quilted over or the quilting becomes the focus and not the design. I like both the modern and the traditional quilts. You have such an eye for graphic designs that really catch the eye and area pleasing to look at. Thanks for sharing all of your gorgeous quilting as well as designs with us. Keep it up! K-

  182. It's hard to say what has inspired me the most. I was a beginner when I discovered quilting blog land and I have learned so much because of it. So I guess what has inspired me most is how much I learn - everything from patterns to color choices to thread selection to stash building. It's wonderful! Thanks for the chance to win.

  183. Wow! Your quilt reminds me of knitting and yarn. Love it. I am most inspired by reading about other quilters who goof up and make mistakes just like I do - and they survive!
