T-Shirt Quilt

Jane pieced this adorable T-Shirt Quilt.
I'm not an expert at piecing t-shirt quilts but when machine quilting them the way they are pieced makes my job either simple or very difficult. One thing I can tell you if you want to make a t-shirt quilt is to consider using cotton fabric as a sashing. It helps so much to stabilize the t-shirts.
Jane did just that with this quilt and and it turned out adorable! I love how happy it turned out!
I machine quilted this quilt with an all over Baptist Fan pattern, I love the soft texture that this pattern gives quilts.
I wish I would have taken a picture of the quilt backing as well, Jane even pieced some of the T-Shirts into the backing.

Have a great day!

  8. Did Jane use Jelly Rolls or Fat Quarters to make the sashing? What are her sashing dimensions. What does the overall quilt measure? I am interested in making a similar item for my husband. I have 2 jelly roll packs that would be the perfect material for it, I want to make sure that I have enought before I start.
