Boxy Christmas Table Runner Tutorial

Remember how I told you I am going to have darling Christmas decor this year, well, I'm making that happen! Today I get to share our Boxy Christmas Table Runner tutorial!
This super cute and simple table runner is perfect for an afternoon of sewing measuring 53"x18".

Materials needed:
3/4 yard white fabric
3/4 yard red fabric
1/2 yard green fabric
1/2 yard binding fabric

Cutting:
White fabric:
1 - 41 1/2"x7 1/2" white rectangle

Red fabric:
2 - 6"x 7 1/2" rectangles
2 - 6"x 53 1/2" rectangles

Green fabric:
Cut 7 - 4" circles, use a cup or small plate for template. :)

Sewing:
Sew one red 6"x7 1/2" red rectangle to each end of the white 41 1/2"x7 1/2" rectangle.
Next sew the remaining two 6"x53 1/2" red rectangles to the opposite sides of the unit that you created in the previous step.

Applique:
After piecing is complete applique the 7 - 4" circles onto tree skirt randomly using applique technique of choice.
We used our accuquilt Go! and the Dresden Plate die to cut the 4" circles, then we used embroidery applique to add applique the circles.

If you don't have an embroidery machine you can also use our starch applique technique to applique your circles.
After applique is complete it's time for machine quilting. I machine quilted this table runner using our Bubble Wrap machine quilting pattern, pattern is available for long-arm quilters in both digital and paper formats.

After machine quilting is complete bind the table runner using your favorite binding technique!

Merry Christmas from Kathleen and Natalia!
