Late Bloomers - Custom Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

I just finished up the custom machine quilting on this adorable quilt made by Stephanie. This adorable quilt is from Kim Deihl's pattern, Late Bloomers, it was featured in the April 2012 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting magazine.

Stephanie loved how the original quilt was quilted but wanted me to add some of my flowers and pebbles, they're her favorite. So, I did just that. :)

I quilted feathers in the larger outer border, free-motion using a matching pink So Fine! thread, then I machine quilted cross hatching in all of the triangles, feather medallions in all of the center blocks and flowers in the outer corners.
Stephanie liked the "mctavishing" look of the original version, but since she wanted some pebbles I kinda created a mixture of the two ideas. I think it turned out pretty dang cute!

Thanks for letting me machine quilt your adorable quilt Stephanie.
