Mustard & White Quilt - Custom Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

This morning I finished up the custom machine quilting on this fabulous quilt that Jill made.

When Jill first contacted me asking me to machine quilt this beautiful quilt for her she sent me this picture, and asked me to quilt it as I pleased. She made this quilt as an anniversary gift for her aunt and uncle, who's wedding she was a flower girl. How sweet is that?!

I am in LOVE with mustard and white and two color quilts, so I was super excited to play with this beauty!

I had so much fun quilting this one, I used one layer of Quilters Dream Poly Deluxe batting and So Fine! by Superior Threads. I just love it!
When deciding how I should machine quilt this quilt I knew I wanted to do a lot of ruler work, keeping the quilt nice and crisp. Then when I got looking closely I noticed that Jill had marked a few melons in the mustard part. So I decided to take that into my quilting and quilt some orange peels in some of the white blocks. I love the tiny bit of curvature that they add to the quilt.
