Teaching in Texas - Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts & Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting

I just returned home from a fabulous weekend in Dallas & Fort Worth, Texas. It was a very full weekend, but so much fun to help so many awesome ladies make fun quilts and learn to free-motion quilt on their domestic sewing machines.

The weekend started with a fun trunk show at the Dallas Modern Quilt Guild. I was able to share my journey into becoming a professional machine quilter and author along with my favorite quilts.

I spent the day Friday with the Fort Worth Modern Quilt Guild. We had two classes and the students in my classes made quilts from our new book; Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts, Incline, Stacked Up, Math Class & Typhoon. Several of the ladies were able to finish two baby quilts and some were able to make blocks in their very first quilt! It's so much fun to see everyone's journey in the sewing process and my favorite part of teaching is seeing the fabrics that everyone else chooses to use in our patterns.

Saturday was another fun and full day of teaching at the Dallas Modern Quilt Guild. I taught two more classes, the first class the fun ladies were able to make blocks and finish quilts from our new book: Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts, Incline, Math Class & Stacked Up.

Then in the afternoon I taught Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting, my very most popular class. It was a fun class and the ladies in the class were able to make some really great progress in their free-motion quilting skills.
Saturday's classes were held at Urban Spools, a darling sewing lounge in Dallas.

Thank you to all of my new Texas friends! It was a joy to meet you all and I can't wait to see your finished quilts!
