Bloggers Choice Fabric Bundle - Giveaway!

I am so excited! My Blogger's Choice Fat Quarter Bundle from Fat Quarter Shop is now in stock and available for purchase. I had so much fun combining Joel Dewberry, Tula Pink, Elizabeth Hartman and Vanessa Christensen, now I can't wait to sew something bright and cheery with these fun fat quarters.

  12. I'm with you. Practically, I use small scale prints on quilt tops and large scale on backs. But I'm drawn to large scale prints, and often use them fire my quilt inspiration.

  14. I'll use whatever prints I fall in love with, but I do find large prints challenging to work with sometimes. They might look good cut into pieces or they might look odd. I agree that putting them on the back is a great way to use them.

  18. I like smaller prints-much easier to work with. Seem to go well with most any pattern. Big prints are fun too but I don't use them as much.

  29. I have only just recently started using large scale prints and I am loving it. Feels very daring and exciting. My go to would still be small to medium but would interview large scale where before I'd never consider them as an option. Thank you for the opportunity to win.

If I HAVE to make a choice, I'd be like you, making the quilt from small scale prints on the front and large scale prints on the back, but honestly, I like to include a mix of large and small scale prints in most projects.   69. Small scale prints are workhorses for me because they are so versatile. My large scale prints usually end up fussy cut to highlight a certain detail in the fabric. Thanks for the opportunity.

  71. I love the small scale prints too. I do mostly applique quilts like from Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill or pieced picture quilts like those from Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet ~ small prints work the best.

    Having said that...Large and small can be a matter of perspective and I often wind up with a medium one!lol

  79. Lately the large prints are catching my eye and my stash of them is growing. Haven't decided what kind of quilt I will make yet but love hexagons and think the large prints would be awesome.

  80. That's a hard one. I really like both and will look for patterns that feature large prints well, but small prints are so great to use everywhere. I used to use mostly large scale prints for backing, but lately I have been choosing smaller scale prints which usually show off the quilting more. I like whatever catches my eye best!

  85. The majority of the time I prefer small scale prints, but occasionally a large scale print will fit perfectly into place. So I just never know for sure.   98. Small Prints, It is much easier to piece with other fabric colors/prints. I feel large prints are great for many things but not when you have other fabric choices that deal with prints.

  99. I work with both, but it is hard to find small scale prints that don't look like reproduction prints - I think that vibrant color has a lot to do with it. Large scale prints work as is and often when cut down are quite interesting as well.

I like small scale prints because I like detail, and you can arrange these fabrics in so many different ways, that's not to say that large scale prints don't have their place, they most certainly do. For a quick quilt I like to use large scale prints.Backings also work well for large scale prints. Thank you.

  110. For piecing, I love the smaller prints...but for applique I use the larger Kaffe or Tula Pink prints. I love doing some fussy cutting for applique and the larger prints work very well.

  121. I'm with you, I like the larger scale prints on the backing as long as they don't reveal the piecing that I used to get the right size. I prefer the small to medium scale prints for my blocks because the shapes of the bigger prints are sometimes lost when the pieces are cut.
