Machine Quilting - In the Studio with Natalia Bonner

I've often been asked, in the classes I teach or by quilting friends if they can just hang out and watch me quilt. I always have to laugh to myself, because it's such a huge compliment, but my sewing space is pretty small, and there's just no room. :)

So, while I was free-motion quilting a quilt recently I set up my tripod and filmed a few minutes of me machine quilting.

I hope you like it!

  9. I don't use a long arm quilter, just my Singer Home machine. I sometimes lose my place when using thread that matches well. How do you know you have stitched it all?

  10. I've been trying to email you about machine quilting, but using the link you provide on your email page keeps coming back to me as "permanently failed." I would love to have you machine quilt a quilt but don't know how to get in touch with you.

  13. I quilt the same way you do--one hand on the machine, one hand on the quilt. And yes, I feel I have more control this way too; I know exactly what you mean! I don't stand however, I am almost 54 years old; work a high stress job and quilt to relieve stress. My butt is wheeling up and down the frame in a chair! I love your style of quilting! I love to watch ppl quilt actually. I look for videos all the time, LOL.
