Today's BASICS quilt block tutorial is the 9 patch.
To make a 6" block you will need to cut the following fabrics:
White fabric
4- 2 1/2"x2 1/2" squares
Yellow fabric
5- 2 1/2"x2 1/2" squares
To make a 9" block you will need to cut the following fabrics:
White fabric
4- 3 1/2"x3 1/2" squares
Yellow fabric
5- 3 1/2"x3 1/2" squares
To make a 12" block you will need to cut the following fabrics:
White fabric
4- 4 1/2"x4 1/2" squares
Yellow fabric
5- 4 1/2"x4 1/2" squares
Sewing:
Sew one yellow, one white, and one yellow block together.
Press toward the yellow fabric.
Repeat, make two of these units.
Sew one white, one yellow and one white block together.
Press toward the yellow fabric.
Sew the three rows together.
Press.
