Tara made this darling little applique quilt and brought it to me for some custom machine quilting. When I got ready to machine quilt this fun quilt I knew that I wanted to do some echo quilting, but I wanted to have fun with the echo quilting, so I added in little details, if you look closely you can see that I added in some swirls and other motif's. I really love that by adding little details it really dresses up simple echo quilting.
In the border I chose to machine quilt a fun feather, and then arc's in all of the half square triangle blocks. In my book; Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting I teach, step-by-step how to quilt both of these patterns.
