Easter Quilt - Custom Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

Marilyn made this darling Easter quilt. Everything is so brown and dreary outside, so this quilt seems like the perfect quilt to be working on right now! :)

Actually just after I started custom machine quilting this quilt I shared the picture below on Instagram, my kids and I were all sick over the Christmas break and this quilt was the perfect quilt to bright up my day and get me back into the swing of things after being sick.

This quilt actually comes as a laser cut quilt kit, all of the applique pieces are laser cut so putting the top together is much easier. You can pick up a kit or learn more about laser cut quilt kits from my local quilt shop, Quilted Works.

I've quilted another version of this fun quilt, but for Marilyns version I wanted to quilt it a tiny bit different to give it it's own unique feel. I really just don't like to machine quilt two quilts the exact same way.
The echoing around the Happy Easter was so much fun to quilt. If you have ever tried echo quilting it's not the easiest motif to quilt, and have it look good. In my Craftsy class; Free-Motion Motifs for Classic Blocks I address modern echoing and teach you how to make your echoing look good.

Because it's an Easter quilt, of course I had to machine quilt some flowers. In the two side borders I machine quilted these fun flowers and quilted pebbles in the background around them. Love how it turned out.

Thanks for letting me machine quilt this beautiful quilt Marilyn!
