The Lion Quilt - Custom Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner + Bonus Videos

Heather pieced this beautiful Lion quilt and sent it to me for some custom machine quilting. The quilt is really modern so I decided to keep it pretty modern with the machine quilting, but I also wanted to add in a bit of detail with some feathers.

I quilted feathers on each side of the lion head, I wanted it to be subtle but also almost look like those feathers were weaving around the head. I think it turned out pretty awesome.

In the background I machine quilted swirls, pebbles and clams, I teach all of those techniques in my book; Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting. I used my 4-N-1 Machine Quilting Ruler to help keep all those lines so straight.

While I was quilting this fun quilt I did film a couple fun little videos while I was quilting this fun quilt, I hope you enjoy them.
