Modern Building Blocks Quilt - Custom Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner + Bonus Videos

I recently custom machine quilted two of these gorgeous Moda Modern Building Blocks quilts. I'm sure you all have heard me say, over and over, how much I love quilting these quilts! I've quilted several of them now and no two have been exactly the same, I just can't do it!

These two gorgeous quilts belong to Susan and her daughter Jen. They pieced them together and I really loved custom quilting the quilts.

I really love ruler work, there is something so fun and satisfying about the crispness that is created with rulers and the solid fabrics really show off the custom machine quilting.

You can check out my machine quilting rulers over on my website.

I did add in a little bit of free-motion quilting, some swirls, I quilted them on a few of the blocks through the quilt and I love the little bit of softness that they add.

While I was custom machine quilting these quilts I did record a few videos of my machine quilting and I've shared those videos over on YouTube.

Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel, I've been working on several videos and have been posting them every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

  3. You make it look so easy. I’d love to know what color thread you used — it looked great on all the different fabrics.
