Pinch me..... I don't think this is real....

I can't even begin to tell you how honored I am today.
I've been stalking my mailman for a few weeks now and today he finally delivered something besides bills.
He delivered the brand new issue of American Patchwork & Quilting
(even though the cover is ripped I'm still in la-la land, guess I'll have to go buy another copy :))

Getting Ready For Halloween!

I've got all of my Halloween decorations out!
Do you?
Maybe it's a little early since it's not even October yet, but for some reason I'm excited for Halloween this year!
Yesterday I machine quilted this funky little Halloween wall hanging for Colleen, you have to zoom in to see how funny the fabric is.
I machine quilted spider webs all over and I love how it turned out. I should totally make me one of these.

29...................

Yesterday...... was my birthday.....
My little family and I celebrated all weekend long.
I told my husband I didn't want to do anything big or even expensive, just a few things that I've always wanted to do.
So on Friday night the three of us went to the circus!
Chesney and I had never been to one before. It was pretty fun, but those tight rope people, they just about make me have a heart attack!
Then Saturday my daughter and husband went and bought me a birthday cake.
Chesney picked out the cake.
It's exactly what a 4yr old would pick! Don't ya think!

Then yesterday I enjoyed my favorite Chicken Enchiladas with my family and then my daughter and husband surprised me with a gift that I've been begging for for years!
A new bike.
Nope, I'm not a professional biker or anything like that. I've just wanted a bike to have fun and go on bike rides with Chesney.
So here is my new bike!
Now I get to enjoy my last year of my twenties! This year is going to be a fantastic year for sure!
I can't wait to share the next year with you all!

Party Hats!

While I'm standing at my machine quilting my daughter is usually running around making messes and being creative in her own little ways.
I love to listen to her have conversations with her dolls and animals.
It's even more funny when she says things that my husband and I say to each other.
Today wile I was busy quilting I looked over and saw that all the little dogs and dollies were all lined up, no big deal they always are.
Then I noticed they each had a cone of thread on their heads.
I asked her what they were doing and she quickly responded, "mom, it's party hats"

I love her sense of imagination. Why can't everyone have this much fun!

I'm loving Hometown {machine quilting}

Beth, from Seasons of Home recently pieced this darling quilt using some Hometown fabrics.
I love this fabric line!  I seriously want to decorate my whole house in it!
Anyways, I did some custom machine quilting and I love how it turned out. Those circles are raw edge applique so after it's washed it'll look even cuter!
Here is a close up of the blocks.
I'm sure that kits for this fun quilt will be available at Seasons of Home!
