Last week I mentioned that I was finally going to machine quilt a quilt for my mom, Bed of Tulips, this was one of her quilts that she designed for McCalls Quilt Design Star Contest, this quilt has been hanging around the studio for about 8 months now and I finally took a couple days and quilted it.
I'm sure that someday Kathleen will write the pattern for this quilt, but in the meantime here is a little eye-candy. :)
Last night Kathleen and I had a great night, we had the opportunity to spend the evening with the Handi Quilter teachers from all over the country! They were such a fun group of ladies, when I grow up I want to do what they do, I think their jobs sound like a dream job!
Anyways, they had asked us to share some of our quilts with them.
Kathleen and I sharing Slideshow, this was the first quilt that I made using pre-cut fabrics. Obviously I fell in LOVE!
I have something exciting to tell you all about this quilt! Hopefully I can share all the details super soon!
Kathleen and I sharing "Bed of Tulips" one of Kathleens quilts for the McCalls Quilt Design Star Challenge, and guess what I finally got it all quilted for her! YIPEE!
Anyways, it was a great night with the Handi Quilter Ladies, I can't wait to learn more about them, we are seriously thinking about needing a second machine and Handi Quilter may just be what we are looking for!
I haven't even thought about Christmas and this week I've quilted two different Christmas quilts and a few more have arrived! Seriously you ladies are so organized!
Susan made this beautiful quilt for her sister. I machine quilted an all over pattern and I love how it turned out.
Okay, maybe you've inspired me. I am going to start "thinking" about Christmas! :)
