2011 {a fantastic year to remember}

2011 has been another fantastic year!
Seriously I could not have dreamed in my wildest dreams that some of the things that have happened in 2011 would ever happen in my lifetime!
Some highlights include....
Attending two Quilt Markets
Salt Lake City and Houston
Having some of my patterns and machine quilting published in a few different places, including;
Fresh Fabric Treats
Modern Blocks
Quiltmaker Magazine
Best of Fat Quarter Quilts
American Patchwork & Quilting

Who could forget, the first part of the year was spent campaigning for my mom in the McCalls Quilt Design Star Challenge!
I also was privileged again this year to share a few projects over at Moda Bake Shop including
Simple Spring Table Runner or Place Mats
Pillows Gone Wild
&
Jumbo Coins Baby Quilt
I love Moda Bake Shop.

The majority of my year was spent machine quilting. I love that I have the opportunity each day to spend time machine quilting quilts for my customers who have become my dear friends.

Bev's Medallion Quilt
Donna's Daisy Quilt

I can't wait for 2012! I have so much in store that I'm busting at the seams (literally) to tell you about!
Thank you all for following me along in my quilting journey, I hope you'll continue to follow along in 2012 so I can share my exciting adventures with you!

Happy New Year from Natalia & Kathleen!!!

Jumbo Coins {a free baby quilt tutorial}

Baby quilts are my favorite thing to give as gifts to friends and family when they have a new baby. I'm always looking for something new and fun, but also simple to make. So today I've created this Jumbo Coins Baby quilt tutorial.

Donna's Simple Quilt

Donna pieced this cute, simple quilt for her sister.

It's a darling quilt and I think it'd be really cute on a bed.

Donna had me machine quilt swirls all over the quilt, they turned out really cute and added a little bit of texture.

A few months back Donna actually made this same quilt, just in different colors for herself. I custom machine quilted that one for her. It turned out really pretty, click here to see pictures of that one!

Crazy Christmas Quilt Tutorial {recap}

I'm sure you've all got all of your Christmas gifts complete and are just waiting patiently for Christmas now.... right?
I'm actually ready this year and excited to spend the next few days with family.

A couple years back I had a cute Christmas charm pack hanging out at the studio so I decided to whip up a simple Christmas quilt.
From that came the Crazy Christmas Quilt, and I made it available as a free tutorial!
So, if you're super proactive and planning for next year here is a free tutorial for you!
Otherwise hope you have a Merry Christmas!
