Hello there friends, welcome to my portion of the Simply Fat Quarters Showcase. If you're new to the showcase come along and check out the Fat Quarter Shop's brand new book, Simply Fat Quarters.
The super talented girls over at Fat Quarter Shop and It's Sew Emma designed this darling book that features some fun quilts. Every quilt in this book is made from fat quarters.
I pieced and quilted one of the darling quilts from this book, Spa Quilt, for myself and I love how it turned out. :)
Above is the original version, very pretty in blues, below is my version. Of course it's brights, I love brights. :)
One of the awesome things about this book is every single pattern in the book contains layouts for four sizes, Crib, Lap, Twin and King. I made my version of the Spa Quilt in twin and I love it! It was actually a pretty simple quilt to make! :)
Of course I have to share a close up of my machine quilting. :)
Would you like to win a copy of Simply Fat Quarters and a kit to make my version of the Spa Quilt? Courtesy of Fat Quarter Shop. Leave a comment and tell me what your favorite size of quilt to make is. Baby, Twin, Full, Queen, or King?
Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you a little secret about this great book, do you see my name in the picture above, yes, I was lucky enough to machine quilt all of the darling quilts in this book! :) Yes, I'm still blushing :)
Purchase my book, Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting, today!
I would love a copy of this book. I should say queen size quilts are my favorite size as I really make a lot of them - but couch sizes go so much faster!
ReplyDeleteI like to make twin or lap size quilts. But, I am needing to make a king sized quilt for our bed! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the baby size. I just think it is one special because it has a baby intended as the recipient. Two because they aren't large so it is a satisfying short project :)
ReplyDeleteI tend to make lap or twin size quilts, mostly because I quilt them on a brother sewing machine and would have trouble otherwise. I really need to make some queen size quilts thought, since that's what my bed is. Some day soon I hope :) Beautiful quilt BTW. I love the bright look of it.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that baby quilts are my favorite - a little snippet of fun! Thanks so much for a chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI like the spa quilt in the book, but I like yours a 100% better! I love the styling of the quilt and your machine quilting is gorgeous! My favorite size to make... hmm :) I should say baby quilt because it's the fastest to finish, but now that I made a twin size I might just vote for that one. Even though it was a wrestle to quilt it on my machine :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win this quilt! I love to make queen sized quilts because I know the recipient will truly appreciate my time, efforts, and love put into each and every one. Smaller quilts, for instance, crib and twins do finish so much faster!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win this quilt! I love to make queen sized quilts because I know the recipient will truly appreciate my time, efforts, and love put into each and every one. Smaller quilts, for instance, crib and twins do finish so much faster!!
ReplyDeleteBaby quilts and lap quilts. I'd love to win, thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteBaby quilts and lap quilts. I'd love to win, thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely baby or lap size. I still get freaked out trying to make large items evenly shaped.
ReplyDeleteI like making baby quilts just because I love babies! Love the spa quilt with the bright colors.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite size of quilt to make is a full size quilt, or a large lap size. I want one that will be big enough for 2 to snuggle under on the couch, be able to pull it all the way up to your chin, and still have your feet covered.
ReplyDeleteI hardly ever make a quilt as a gift for an adult that is smaller than twin size, I want to be sure they can wrap up in it! For the kids once they are past the baby size I make lap quilts for the same reason. I' d love this book and kit Natalia. Congratulations on the beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteLove the quilting! I like to make lap to full size but love wall hangings too!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm a newbie at quilting, I'm going to say I love baby quilts! Although I can't wait to graduate to something bigger :) Thanks for the chance to win! Fingers crossed ...
ReplyDeleteI like to make baby or lap quilts. This book is just what I need for all of the fat quarters I have accumulated. Thanks for a chance to win!
ReplyDeleteSo far I've only made small quilts, but my goal is to make a King Size Quilt!
ReplyDeleteI like making baby quilts because I can usually finish them in a reasonable amount of time, but I like lap size since I can use them.! Looks like a great book and I love the bright colors you used in your quilt!
ReplyDeleteTwin is my fave -- I can get it done myself without sending away for quilting.
ReplyDeleteYour quilting is amazing!! Love that design! This quilt reminds me of those wind twirlers that you hang on your front porch. FUN! I usually make lap quilts BUT I have just bought a second hand mid-arm so am hoping to go bigger...once I learn how to use it that it! Thanks for the chance to win this lovely book!
ReplyDeletePaulette
Wow, your quilt is beautiful! I am sorry, I don't really have a favorite size quilt to make - it just really depends on the type of quilt and the reason I am making it! Right now, I am working on a twin, a queen, a lap, and two wallhangings! That's what comes from having too many ideas in my brain and not enough time to get them all out!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite size of quilt to make is a great lap quilt around 60 x 72
ReplyDeleteI love your version in the brights! I love to work with brighter fabrics, they make me feel happy. I like to make large queen size quilts for my bed and like would like to make twin size for my kids beds. I am still fairly new to quilting, so I haven't made too much yet. I am getting there though!
ReplyDeleteI've never made a quilt, so I guess I would start with a crib sized quilt!
ReplyDeleteI just received my first sewing machine ever in August and have just finished making an apron. My next project will be a quilt. As for size, I'm going to start off with the lap size and see how I do. Would love to win this book and learn more
ReplyDeleteQueen-sized quilts is what I can make and quilt. My sewing machine cannot handle a king but that is ok because I can only handle queen-sized quilt myself. Thank you for sharing your pictures of your new book with us. I would be so honored to be able to win a copy of your book and then be able to make a new queen-sized quilt for myself.

I would love a copy of this book! All of the sneaky peeks I've seen have been so tempting! I'd love to make this quilt in a queen size---I find it the most useful at my houseful of men. If I make a throw size quilt, they complain that it isn't long enough! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteHello from Minnesota! Your quilt is gorgeous and SO my colors. :) My favorite size to make are minis...but that's not on the list so I'd have to day baby because I'm a beginner and the throat of my machine (as well as my skill set!) is tiny.
ReplyDeleteHi all the way from Brazil! I'm a beginner quilter and have made two queen sizes so far. But I think baby-size would be easier! :) Thanks for the opportunity to win this wonderful book!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute, quilt! My favorite size quilt to make is twin size. I would love to own a copy of this book. Thank you for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI actually already have a copy of the book but I'd love to win a copy for my mom too. Of course, I'd probably keep the quilt kit....terrible, I know! I personally love making BIG quilts. Atleast a twin size but ideally queen or king. The bigger the better! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt and quilting! I love to make baby or lap sized quilts, but I'm hoping as I get better at it, I'll make larger ones as well.
ReplyDeleteWhile I love making larger quilts for myself and friends, baby quilts are my favorite. I can whip them up so much quicker, and they're so much fun! :)
ReplyDeleteLap quilts are my favorite size to make as they're easier to manipulate in my machine! However, very soon I am going to tackle a twin sized!
ReplyDeleteLove the book. My go to size is always twin. Easy for me to handle.
ReplyDeleteI've only made a few baby quilts so far, but I'm working on a twin for the first time right now. I love your bright take on the spa quilt!
ReplyDeleteSo far I have only made baby quilts but intend to make a queen size for our bed. Waiting to buy the fabric in the USA as it is much cheaper than in Canada.
ReplyDeleteI like making full sized quilts, smaller are useful, too!
ReplyDeleteI usually make baby/lap quilts. I find this size easier to handle when machine quilting on my regular sewing machine. Would love to win a copy of the book, as I have a lot of fat quarters to use up!!
ReplyDeleteAlways looking for quilt patterns I hoard them along with my fabric stash. Love your bright colors.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fabulous book and I would love to win a copy. I like to make lap-sized quilts. I have so many quilts in mind to make that if I try to make anything bigger, I will lose my motivation. The quilting on your Spa Quilt is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love baby and twin size quilts... thanks for the chance to win, the book looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWonderful quilt. I like to make twin or queen size most of the time. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt! I usually make twin/full size! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI love the Spa quilt and the quilting is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI like to make lap/twin size quilts!
So far I've made alot of Baby quilts and just completed my first large quilt which is probably considered a lap quilt size. I'd love to do a queen sized quilt as a gift for each of my boys. And some day I'd love to make a king sized quilt for our own bed, but I think the queen and king might be a few years yet.
ReplyDeleteI'd say my favorite though would be either the baby or lap sized quilts since I know I can handle those right now.
So far, I've been too chicken to make anything larger then a baby or lap quilt, but I love the idea of full sized quilts. It would be the perfect size to curl up under and it would fit my bed.

ReplyDeleteI love a big king size but tend to stay with twin or full. Such a beautiful quilt and high five on all of the quilting! Lisa in Texas
ReplyDeleteI love a big king size but tend to stay with twin or full. Such a beautiful quilt and high five on all of the quilting! Lisa in Texas
ReplyDeleteI make quilts for charity and baby or lap size are what I do mostly. I made one oversized King for my son at his request, and found it a real struggle to deal with that size - could not find enough floor space to spread it out! It was expensive to have quilted as well. Won't be doing that again...
ReplyDeleteI make mostly lap quilts which I guess are like "short twin" size. I also love to make baby quilts.
ReplyDeleteI tend to lean more towards the Twin size, then I don't feel overwhelmed. But I would love to make a queen or king eventually for a cute bed quilt, I have plenty on my couches and chairs.
ReplyDeleteI love to make baby quilts. Seems like every time I turn around, another family member or friend is pregnant!
ReplyDeleteI tend to go with lap or twin quilts...great for snuggling. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say that I prefer to make twin size quilts because I quilt them myself on my home machine.
ReplyDeleteI tend to do quilts from lap to twin. I have done larger ones but not very often.
ReplyDeleteI love to make bed size quilts, but I also like to make lap size quilts because i can finish them more quickly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win. I love your quilt and the beautiful quilting.
I'd love to add this book to my library. I have lots and lots of fat quarters that could use a home in a quilt. Baby size or throw size is my favorite mostly because they are finished faster than the larger ones. Thanks for participating in the tour (and quilting all those quilts).
ReplyDeleteMostly I make full size quilts, but lately have been making some twins for kids going to college and for charity.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in this. I make lots of King and Queen quilts but lap quilts certainly are more fun and fast.
ReplyDeletelawton_linda (at) yahoo (dot) com
I love a twin size--I think it's perfect for napping! (I don't really understand who fits in a throw (50 X 60) size except kids!)
ReplyDeleteThe more I see of this book, the more I'd love to win a copy of it, and your kit in a twin size would be like icing on the cake!
Baby quilts are my favorite because they come together so quickly and because it means there's a little bundle around to use them!
ReplyDeleteFavorite size is King. I love your book Natalia.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite size to make is Twin. And I love everything you do. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt! I make mostly lap sized quilts. I give most of them away to my family and we are all very tall, so I tend to make those lap sized quilts a little longer than usual. I also tend to buy a lot of fat quarter bundles, so lap size is perfect for my stash!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is baby sized as they are easier to manage and I always seem to know someone having a baby.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite quilt size to make is lap or twin. Big enough for most to use but not so big I have trouble finishing. Thanks for the chance to win a great book.
ReplyDeleteLove your version of the Spa Quilt! The brites really seem to give it extra movement! My favorite size to make (the size I make most often) is probably queen, but baby quilts are fun because they work up so fast and you get to use such fun fabrics that just aren't acceptable in a queen size! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the Baptist Fan quilting!! And yes, I would love a copy of this book!~ I generally make Full size quilts and finding conversions from lap quilts is often very hard to do. Your quilt looks like a very fun one to start with. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love this quilt! I will definitely try it in my favorite quilt size: Crib size. If I don't win, how do I get my hands on this book?
ReplyDeleteYour version of the quilt is beautiful. I like to make baby size because they are quick but I enjoy king size because then I can enjoy them on my bed.
ReplyDeleteIn the past I've done mostly baby/lap size quilts. I've just started branching out into larger sizes.
ReplyDeleteI am making twins for my grandchildren, but I enjoy making the baby quilts the best because you see the results sooner.
ReplyDeleteI make lap size or queen size quilts, depending on if they're gifts or for myself.
ReplyDeleteMostly I make twin or lap size. I need a quicker finish that a larger quilt won't give me. I make queen size when I need a new quilt for my bed.
ReplyDeleteI love to make lap quilts!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
I tend to make twin to full sized quilts. Thanks for sharing and for the chance at your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say I like making a large throw or twin size (perfect for kids) . . . with the thought that the quilt will get plenty of snuggle time as the child grows, until the quilt is worn and supper soft. (Kids still snuggle up with a comfy quilt, even in warm Florida weather! Almost like a big hug.) Would love to win this book and kit!
ReplyDeleteI think I make twin size the most. This book sounds great. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteHELLO! BEAUTIFUL QUILT!
ReplyDeleteMY FAVORITE QUILT TO MAKE IS A BABY QUILT,AS I'VE MADE SO MANY OF THEM FOR CHARITY+LOVED ONES!
msstitcher1948@yahoo.com
I like to make a twin or full to have enough room to snuggle with it on the couch with my family.
ReplyDeleteFull size quilt is my fav to make Bc it can take the kiddos through life... fold it up or let hang over twin bed then as they get older there quilt will still fit ad they transition to a full bed!
ReplyDeleteYour Spa quilt is lovely. I love it in the bright colours. I've made quilts in all sizes, just depends who they are for. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI like making anything bigger and including twin size. I love the Spa Quilt done in the brights nice work. Thanks for a chance to win this book.
ReplyDeleteIt is great that the book as the layout for all sizes. I prefer little quilts, crib sized, just because they are easier to handle in my simple sewing setting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun-looking book. Now I want to go out and check out a copy. I love that each quilt has multiple size options. Gorgeous quilting, as always :) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI make mostly lap and wall hanging size quilts. Thanks for the chance to win this book.
ReplyDeleteI make a lot of baby quilts and those are pretty fast and easy and you can move on to a different fabric line and pattern - so that would be my choice.
ReplyDeleteI actually like to make a Lap size. It is larger then a Baby but not quilt as large as a Twin. Perfect size to throw on the bottom of a bed or over an easy chair. Thanks for the fabulous giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a copy of this book. My favorite precut is fat quarters! Queen size bed quilts are my favorite size to make but I like to make larger lap quilts and kid's quilts too. I really, really like your version of Spa. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt--my favorite is usually twin, however, sometimes I do queen size too..
ReplyDeleteThis book looks amazing!! I'd love to win a copy! :-) I usually make baby, twin or full quilts, but dream of making a king size some day! :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on quilting the beautiful quilts featured in this book! The colorful quilt you made is gorgeous, too.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite size quilt because I will sew whatever needs to be done (or whatever I'm in the mood for). Given that, I think it's really nice that the authors developed patterns for numerous sizes of each quilt in this book. That's very helpful.
I am in the lap mode now making widow sized pieces to hang in the sunlight; they look so like stained glass...
ReplyDeleteYour brights delight me. I would love a copy of the book; it's gorgeous.
I love making lap quilts!! You did a beautiful job quilting your quilt (which is awesome btw); and I would love to check out all the other quilts (and your quilting!). Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy making all the different sizes, each is a challenge in its own way. The spa quilt is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love to make lap-sized quilts. They are the perfect size for me to try out different patterns, colors, and settings.
ReplyDeletewlinda_ca@yahoo.com
My favorite size to make is Queen. Maybe that's why it takes me so long to finish a quilt...
ReplyDeletei would love to win thanks
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt you made, and I usually make large lap quilts, 70 inches or greater square.
ReplyDeleteWonderful book! I'd love to win :)
ReplyDeleteI like full size quilts, they give you enough quilt to wrap up in. I don't make too many smaller than a full unless it is a baby quilt. I would love to have this book...your quilting looks fabulous :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, congrats on the credit!! And I love your version - the colours and the quilting adds so much movement!
ReplyDeleteI love to make baby quilts - I get to try out new patterns and fabric quickly and move on before I get bored and add another UFO to the pile ;)
At the moment I'm making twin-sized for my boys beds, I rather like couch sized though which is a non-standard size but wraps around a body nicely and also covers a 2-seater couch.
ReplyDeleteI have made mostly full size however, we now have a queen size bed so I'm making a queen size now. I love your spa quilt and the quilting is beautiful. I bought that stencil to try to quilt it on my dsm. I'll be trying it out soon. Was it hard to do?
ReplyDeleteOh I would LOVE this! I have only been brave enough to tackle a lap size quilt. But starting a bigger one soon :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great book!! I would like to make the baby size or a little bit larger!!
ReplyDeleteI like to make smaller lap or wallhangings, or even an appliqued/quilted pillow, because I've been busy lately, but I hope to make a larger one soon.
ReplyDeletetwin i can do, but prefer lap size; they're easier to handle now that i'm older. have admired the quilts in this book [and the quilting] ... would be so nice to win a copy. thanx for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the book. I really like your spa quilt. You such beautiful work. I really like to make lap size quilts, however, we just bought a king size bed so now its time for a king size quilt :-)
ReplyDeleteI like to make Twin - it is a good sofa quilt size (generous for multiple people) but works perfectly when I want to have an extra blanket on my side of the bed but hubby doesn't
ReplyDeleteWOW, I love your version in brights, especially! I aspire to making a Queen or King someday, but I've only made a baby quilt, a 68" square tree skirt and 2 lap quilt tops.
ReplyDeleteI love both versions of this quilt, and I already own (and LOVE) the book! I have to say one of my favorite features of the book is that all the patterns are shown in so many sizes!! I would say Lap or Twin are my favorite sizes :)
ReplyDeleteTwin/throw is what I find manageable. Too large and it becomes a UFO.
ReplyDeleteI like twin or lap/snuggle size. They go together fast and are ubber useful for everything and anything!
ReplyDeleteLap quilts are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteMostly I make quilts which range from baby size to big enough for a tall man on a recliner. soparkaveataoldotcom
ReplyDeleteI think I make a lot of Lap size quilts, because I make them for my quilt guild's outreach program. Plus they are a great way of practicing my quilting skills!
ReplyDeleteI make lap quilts. i would love to have the book and the opportunity to win it with some fabrics to make the spa quilt
ReplyDeleteMy favorite size quilt to make is a twin or lap sized! I have to say I LLLOOOOVVVEEEEEE your version of Spa. May I also say I am not surprised they asked you to machine quilt all the quilts in the book...your work is fabulous!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is to make lap size quilts. Love those "Quilt Blocks" fabrics in your spa quilt - so pretty!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting credit in a book! I usually make approx twin size quilts. They work as oversized lap/couch quilts, or a queen topper.
ReplyDeleteWow! Your Spa quilt in brights is wonderful. Love the quilting too. I like to make lap and baby sized quilts. I have made queen and king sized in the past, and it's painful!
ReplyDeleteFull or Queen size, but I make a lot of throw size too!
ReplyDeleteI love making baby quilt :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win.
This book looks fabulous!! I like to make twin or queen size right now. Thanks for a chance to win. :)
ReplyDeleteTotally amazing again Natalia!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the bright one as well, its so happy!
I like the Queen size, it makes my bed warm.
I am a fan of baby and lap quilts. They are usually fast and fun and I am fairly sure they will get used.
ReplyDeleteI haven't made a lot of quilts, but I would like to think the Queen is the most practical!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite size quilt is the full size. If it ends up being for a larger bed then I just add a skirt to the mattress.
ReplyDeleteTwin quilts are my favorite, since they are big enough to cuddle under but still "do-able" in a reasonable amount of time.
ReplyDeleteLike many others I love to make Baby quilts.. Mainly for the joy of welcoming a new life but also because they are a great way of trying out a new design or technique.
ReplyDeleteI don't enjoy making large quilts anymore, so I focus on lap quilts, baby quilts, and project linus - 40x60 - quilts. A larger quilts materializes once in awhile, however!
ReplyDeleteJudging by the size of the ones I've actually made, it would appear to be twin. But I'd really like to make some larger ones!
ReplyDeleteI work full time...so large quilts are hard for me to get made. I enjoy making lap throws. Thanks for the chance to win a copy of the book. Oh..and congratulations on all that beautiful quilting you did.
ReplyDeleteI like kingsize for my bed, but a little too big for the sofa, so sofa ones need to be smaller really!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to "graduate" to any larger than twin size quilts. Just learning fmq and for now, quilting a twin size is frustrating enough!
ReplyDeleteBecause I love to see them go together quickly, I'll have to say I love to make baby quilts. Because I am cold natured, I love to cover up with twin quilts. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your quilt, it is stunning!
ReplyDeleteI prefer to make baby or twin sized quilts--they finish quickly and I feel like I can see progress has been made every time I sit down at the sewing machine.
A copy of your book would be FAB and a kit for your version of the quilt would be THE MOST!
Thank you for the giveaway, very generous!
I usually make queen quilts because I have a queen bed. I've not starting decorating with quilts yet, so if I like a pattern, I go for the gusto and make a queen. However, I do have two crib size quilts ready for the frame. My brother just became a new grandpa to twins - a boy and a girl. I made two tops from the same fabrics and arrangements them in a different way. The backs are pieced identically. I have a queen quilt on my bed with my last name initial on it - a tutorial from your blog. My friend and cleaning lady is in love with it! I like it so much that I have Christmas fabric to make another queen quilt, probably with the initial and with a border. Your quilting is beautiful. Congrats on your new book,, too! Thank you for teaming up with the Fat Quarter Shop for an awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love your version of this quilt, that is soooo cute!! Congrats on being the quilter for the book, what a great honor. Hmm, I've been making alot of baby sized quilts the past few years. So I guess it's my favorite size...for now ;)
ReplyDeleteI usually make crib size or lap size for Quilts for Kids. I would love to win this book because I am always looking for new ideas to use with the fat quarter bundles I purchase.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilting! It SO complements the design of the quilt!
ReplyDeleteI tend to make more full size or large lap size that can be cuddled under on the couch.
I love all these quilts so far in this book. Would love to win. I like making full size quilts, can also use them for throws. Thanks for a great give away.
ReplyDeleteHi, My favorite size of quilt to make would be a king or twin size (twin because I have some tall family members and the twin size is usually always the right size.. That way they get used as I intended them too. And your Spa Quilt has me drooling!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I make a LOT of queen sized quilts; but realized my quilting friends got a lot more projects done because they made baby quilts and couch throws!!! So now...I make ALL different sized quilts! *wink, wink*
ReplyDeleteYour SPA quilt is so fun & cheerful! And your quilting is phenomenal! (Said while patting you on the back!)
I have been making queensize quilts lately. But, I enjoy crib size too, since it gives me a chance to practice my FMQ more often. Thanks for the chance towin a copy of the book and a kit. Your color choices are pretty and bright.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, my favorite size is lap, but that isn't listed! I'd love to make this quilt in queen sized for my bed...it needs a quilt made by me, and this one looks easy enough to get finished and look positively lovely! Thanks for the chance to win the book!
ReplyDeleteI like to make full sized quilts. I have made other sizes but mainly the larger ones. hulseybg@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThis book looks awesome, and I would love to have a copy of it! I like to make twin or throw sized quilts. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt!! I like to make full or queen sized quilts. I'm into the comfort of wrapping up those that I love.
ReplyDeleteI like to make baby/lap quilt sized projects. I have a good shot at actually finishing them before some other project "calls to me"! I end up with fewer UFOs too!!
ReplyDeleteHi! I like the twin and full sizes. Someday I will make a queen.
ReplyDeleteI mostly make lap and baby or wall quilts. The thought of quilting a queen size on my home machine is rather intimidating. One of these days . . .
ReplyDeleteI like to make baby quilts, they work up quickly. But I have a queen bed that desparatly needs a new quilt.
ReplyDeletethanks for a chance to win. I would love that book.
I love the quilts in this book! Right now, I mainly make lap or twin size quilts but I'm hoping to work my way up to a queen size soon!
ReplyDeleteI love your version of the Spa Quilt.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite size quilt to make is a lap or full.
Thanks for a chance to win.
Beautiful! I usually make baby quilts for our church quilt ministry, but I enjoy making queen size for personal use. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the book tour so far. I think my favorite size quilt to work on is a twin.
ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway.
I have only made lap size, but getting ready to a queen size. So queensize would be my choice. Love the book and the choice of choosing sizes. Pretty fabrics. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteThis new book looks amazing! I have always made mostly twin-size quilts, but my new favorite size is the full-size since both my sons are now officially taller than me and want a quilt big enough to cover them up well!
ReplyDeleteLap quilts were my favorite until I found out I have my first grandchild, a little girl, coming in January!!! Baby quilts are now my new favorite! Wink wink!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like to make baby quilts and twins, but I'd love to make a queen for my own bed! carrie dot hare@gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteI usually make wall hangings or baby to twin quilts but now that I have a LA machine I think full size quilts will become my favourite quilt size!
ReplyDeleteBarb@Witsend
Throw or twin size is what I finish most often. I have several larger ones that I will probably never get quilted.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful! Thank you for the chance to win what looks like an awesome book! My favorite quilt size to make is throw, but I seem to always be making queen-sized quilts lately!
ReplyDeletelately I have been making quilts KID size. That is because I have kids in my life that need something to cuddle with. That translates to 60x60. Someday I would love to make a quilt that would fit my queen size quilt. I love both color ways of the spa quilt. This looks like a great book. In Fact I have a bundle of Fat Quarters that I am looking for some inspiration for. Thanks for a chance to win a copy. Janita
ReplyDeleteMy favorite size is a lap quilt. This size is big enough to snuggle in and is quick to make. Also,it is easier to quilt under my sewing machine. Thank you for a chance to win this beautiful book.
ReplyDeleteQueens are much more useful but the smaller ones are easier. I have to say I rarely make wall hangings.
ReplyDeleteI like baby size quilts. I can actually get them finished (most of the time).
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt! I like to make baby size. I feel like I am more likely to finish them.
ReplyDeleteI usually make twin sized quilts, but like lap sized too. I love your color version of the quilt.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win this great book!
ReplyDeleteI like to make full size quilts, big enough to snuggle in!
Twin (or lap-size, really) is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI love to do baby size, but always get stuck with twins or queen size as far as commissions go. Happy to have the work though:):)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the book!!
Such a fun design, I like to do lap quilts because mainly of the cost of larger quilts.
ReplyDeleteThe quilting, from what I can tell, is divine! I would love a copy!
ReplyDeleteI'm a relatively new quilter but loving the big ones. In Ireland I think your king quilts are our superking :-) I love the space to create larger designs... especially with fat quarter shop fabric.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy making King size quilts...I've only made 1 baby quilt...to me, they are just to small!
ReplyDeletesowingstitches [at] gmail [dot] com
I love making baby quilts. I make quilts for kids in foster care who are sick so I prefer to make smaller ones that can easily be packed up and brought with a kid.
ReplyDeleteI like lap size quilts. Small enough to stay on task and finish, but big enough to snuggle under. Tried a king size once and it's just too big of a project to take on. It's sitting in a drawer now and about once a week my husband asks me when it'll be done :(
ReplyDeleteI love creating full size quilts.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt and quilting is beautiful! I like to make baby sized.
ReplyDeleteI love the quilting in this! I need to try it! A full size is my favorite... Big enough for two to cuddle under on the couch.
ReplyDeleteLove this new book, wonderful quilting throughout... Right now my favirite size is a queen. After making many smaller sizes for the 'get it done' factor, I now want big and usable.
ReplyDeleteStunning quilt, and my favourite size seems to be a full or lap sized quilt. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI love making lap sizes to use when viewing the TV.
ReplyDeleteBook looks interesting, especially the quilting! I prefer lap to full size quilts. That way I get to use the fabrics, try the technique and move on. I used to make KINGS for our bed but I can get them on sale at JCP, all cotton, for less than the fabrics cost me & then I don't mind throwing them in the washer so much!
ReplyDeleteI have made all sizes but my last three quilts have been queen sized. Looks like a great book!
ReplyDeleteHi ! my favorite size to make is twin ; gotta have it long enough to cover up on the couch when you lay down ! my ; oh my ; you sure have been busy ! :-D
ReplyDeleteI would have to say a full size is my favorite to make. In real life make more king size than any other size.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite size to make are twin size quilts, and I really appreciate books that have the information for all the size. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteProbably baby quilts since that is all I have really sewn...but I'm dying to make as many as I can of every size. Totally hooked on piecing quilts!
ReplyDeleteI like making twin-sized as i feel that this size will get used by future grand & gr. grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteWould love to win this book! How pretty that quilt is, and it is just a simple pattern set off by the quilting design!
Mean Blogger at my comment ...
ReplyDeleteLOVE that quilt, and would love to win a kit + the fun book!
Fav quilt size to make: baby-sized. Because you can get away with using supercute fabrics/designs, and THEN you get to snuggle your friends' babies once they're wrapped up in the quilty goodness ;o)
Thanks for giveaway!

I like queen size quilts. They seem to fit everyone!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your bright version and I agree that having instructions and requirements for multiple sizes is a great feature of the book. I tend to make queen-sized quilts most often (so far). Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteActually, I'd say lap quilt, which I make a little wider and shorter than a twin.
