Organization

I LOVE to be organized! It's been driving me crazy the last couple of years that my thread wasn't organized like I'd like it!
I've been storing thread in this, which was nice because it was out of the way, in a drawer, BUT, the thread was a mess. No matter how hard I tried to keep it organized it always ended up looking like this! :(

A couple of weeks ago when the Moda rep came he showed me the latest catalog with some new Super Satchel Double deep with a thread cone tray! YES PLEASE!

This is the new Super Satchel! I LOVE IT! I love that my thread can be organized by color, manufacturer and it holds so still. I can even tip the container upside down and it holds in place! I also love that the Satchel locks so no little hands can open it! :)

This is the top Satchel with my favorite So Fine threads.
The old organization container made a great home for some of our favorite pre-cut fabrics! :)

AHHH! SIGH, I feel so much better now that I've got a little organization!
If you're interested in the Super Satchel please e-mail us @ customercare@piecenquilt.com

Peaches, Peaches and more peaches!

Believe it or not, we can do more than just sew......well at least we think!
Whitnee came up with this great idea..... We should can some peaches! We spent all day Saturday canning,  204 jars later we are done! It was quite a little production but we got them done quite fast, I am very impressed!

We started with 25 boxes of beautiful peaches.
204 Jars. (This is only about 100 of them)
We had quite the production line and even some great names for each of us.
John- Chef Ramsey (from Hell's kitchen)
Jeff- Blanch (he was in charge of blanching the peaches)
Krachel-Peel (she was a peeler)
Kathleen- Slime (also a peeler with slimy hands)
TJ- Ice Man (He peeled in ice water)
Whitnee- Pack (she packed the peaches in the jars)
Natalia- Sugar (I poured the sugar water on)
Chesney- White (she looked like white trash)
Lexie was sleeping so she didn't get a name.

Here is our beautiful finished peaches! YUMMO!

Au-then-tic

Are we the only ones out there that almost can't contain our excitement about this new line! It's called Authentic by Sweetwater and it's coming out this month. I feel like a child waiting for Christmas I'm so excited about this.
Now, for the ramblings of a quilt-a-holic..... Wouldn't this fabric be awesome for a block exchange. I'm thinking how cool it could be if we did an exchange only from this line. We'd end up with a really neat quilt!
Okay, enough rambling for the day. Let us know if you're as excited as we are!

I think you might need to remind everyone again that we are

wide at the onset. I seem to remember reading it once, but
I think it needs a reminder, Natalia.

Piece N Share

It's our favorite time again! Piece N Share!

This quilt is our Heber Valley Quilters Guild's Quilt for the year.

Yes, of course I love this quilt! The Mery Go Round pattern by Sandy Klop using The Caroler by Mary Engelbreit materials.

This Flip Flop quilt was made by the ladies in the Heber Valley Quilters Guild and will be auctioned off at Quiltfest at the end of September.

I'm really starting to love panels. This panel is from the Gobble Gobble by Sandy Gervais collection and turned out so cute! I love to quilt panels and bring them to life!

Love this quilt, so cute, would be really fun to make from a Charm Pack.

(All machine quilting in the above pictures was done by Natalia Bonner of Piece N Quilt.)
