An all night quilting adventure!

Last night at 10:00pm the fun all began!
I participated in an all night mystery quilt class.
We were given the supply and cutting list and told to show up at 10:00pm!
I showed up with all of my supplies along with some candy and a couple of diet Rockstars, I knew those would be necessary to keep me awake all night.
Amy shared a table with me and Kathleen came to help me press and cut. A life saver for sure!
Cat Beckstead was the teacher and she had so many fun things to do during the night. We played Quilting Bingo, everyone had a whistle that we blew when we ran out of bobbin thread or when we completed a step. It was so much fun!
I did end up completing the center of my quilt top. Borders are up to me so the creative juices are flowing.
I used some of Sweetwaters new Sunkissed fabric and I love it.
I finished the quilt top around 4am, 6 hours total. I'm a little tired today but it was totally worth it!

Have you ever participated in an all night sewing class?

Summer Dreams

My friend Cat designed this Summer Dreams quilt as a mystery quilt and she did an amazing job! This is hers and I was lucky enough to quilt it for her.

I had a lot of fun quilting it and I thought that the quilting turned out gorgeous, if I say so myself:)

I also have to share with you.....again, my Summer Dreams quilt. I think it's so fun to see that they are the same quilt but how different they look with different materials and borders!

I love them both! You can purchase the kit here.

Finished!

Remember a couple of weeks back several of you helped me with your great input on my Summer Dreams mystery quilt. Well, yesterday I finished it, it's now quilted and bound and I'm loving it.

I went with a modern circle look and I'm really happy with how it turned out. What do you think?

The mystery with borders.

I was able to get the borders added onto my quilt. It was a little tricky because the green border finished 1/4". I'm thinking it like it!

I'm now deciding how to quilt it and then thinking that I'll use the same black material for the binding, or if I get really into it maybe I'll do some green piping then the black binding.
What do you think? I'd love to hear some feedback! :)

Another mystery......but I need some help!

Today was the big day for another mystery quilt. I was all packed up ready to go sew all day when the baby sitter, aka my husband, let me know that he had to work and I wouldn't be able to leave the little disctructo home alone, AND I'm sure the other ladies didn't want me to take her with me:) So I did my mystery quilt from home and have been sending messages via facebook all day!

This is my top! I'm really happy with how it turned out! I used Authentic material and I just need some help deciding what to do for borders... I'm thinking maybe something black but not sure. If you have a great idea I'd love the help!

Another Mystery!

Tomorrow I get to go spend the day working on another mystery quilt! I am sew excited! I've chosen to use materials from the Authentic collection! I can't wait! I will have pictures next week!

The Utah state quilt guild hosted a mystery quilt along through their newsletter. My friends Cantella Box (Shantelle Cox and Cat Beckstead) designed the quilt and I think they did an amazing job!
I was able to quilt their quilts and it was so much fun!

It's fun to see how different they are yet from the same pattern!
There are a few more photos of quilts from the ladies around Utah that also made this. Go check them out on the Utah state quilt guild website!
