Snapshots Quilt - Custom Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

I'm sure you've all seen this adorable quilt by now, but if not I'll explain. The fabulous team over at Fat Quarter Shop has designed this fun block of the month quilt. The patterns are FREE, however Fat Quarter Shop is asking that for each block you download you donate $5 to St. Jude's Hospital. If that's not cool enough, Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics are each matching donations up to $10,000. I personally think that's pretty awesome!

Along with all of that goodness the Fat Quarter Shop team has made this quilt and will be auctioning it off. I'm not loaded with bags of money but I do have the ability to help out and quilt this quilt for them.

It was such a fun quilt to custom machine quilt and I'm honored that I was able to be a tiny part of this great cause.

Joyful Jelly Roll Christmas Tree Skirt

I love Christmas time! I love the decorations, the parties, the feeling of Christmas, I've even been known to put my Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving because I love it so much!

When my friends over at Fat Quarter Shop came out with this new Joyful Jelly Roll Tree Skirt pattern I just knew I HAD to make another Christmas tree skirt.

I decided to use the yummy new Sparkly Tinsel fabric by Cotton + Steel and I just love it! I love the retro feel.

Peaches & Cream - Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts

Hope you're all having a great summer so far! This quilt, Peaches and Cream totally reminds me of summer time and makes me want to go eat peaches! YUM!

A large repeating block appears when you set four block together in this graphic quilt. The warm coral and gold fabrics draw the eye, while the soft blues add a restful frame in the background. White strips create a strong all over grid and modern vibe.

How to: Simple No-Sew Christmas Garland

Can you believe that Christmas is just six months away?! I can't! Time is just flying by.

A couple weeks ago I made a new Christmas Tree Skirt for myself, (I'll share details on Friday) and I love how it turned out. Actually I love it so much that I decided to re-create a scrappy no-sew Christmas garland.

When I was growing up each year on Thanksgiving, after we all ate our feast, the moms would make crafts. Everything from sewing to painting crafts. I remember one year in particular, probably about 25 years ago, us kids got to help make a scrappy Christmas garland. I'm thinking that I was probably about seven or eight and I still remember being so excited that we got to help.

So, I cut up all of my scraps and my kids got busy helping me re-create that garland. I thought it would be fun to share with you how I re-created my own garland.

Sewing With Kids - Hazel Hedgehog Quilt

Ever since Chesney got her adorable Hello Kitty sewing machine she has been wanting to sew. I haven't always been the best at stopping what I'm doing to make time to sew with her. However, over the weekend I knew it was time. So, my kids and I ran to our local quilt shop, Quilted Works, and I told Chesney that she could pick out any pattern in the store and we'd make the project together. I was thinking she'd chose a bag or a skirt or something like that, but she chose the Hazel Hedgehog pattern, and she was pretty excited about it.

Lollipops Quilt - Custom Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

Marge pieced this adorable quilt using Joanna Figeuroa's adorable Lollipops quilt pattern. It's such a cool quilt, a fun play on a traditional dresden plate.

When Marge sent me her quilt she asked me to custom machine quilt it for her, she really liked how I had machine quilted Vanessa's Social Butterfly quilt and wanted something similar.

Dappled- Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts

Are you ready to be introduced to another yummy quilt from our new book, Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts.

If you know me very well you know that scraps just aren't my thing, not that I have anything against them, I just don't collect or stash fabrics, "gasp" I know the room just got really quiet. :) I've always been a simplistic person and scraps just seem to overwhelm me.

Back in April, when I created the 30 Days of Quilt Blocks- Star Version I had so much fun, and several of the block I just fell in love with. The Right Handed Star just happened to be one of those.

I recently needed to make a quilt block in pink or orange, gray and white. I knew that I just had to make the Right Handed Star

So, I decided that it'd be fun to share the 9" cutting instructions for this block.

Red & White Block Exchange Quilt - Custom Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

Last week, before I headed to Texas I was able to spend a few days custom machine quilting this awesome quilt for Kira!

Kira and the ladies in her Modern Quilt Guild made red and white blocks and then exchanged blocks. Each lady then put their blocks together in different settings. Kira chose to add a lot of negative, white background to her quilt and put the block together on an angle through the block. I really love the creativity that she used in the setting.
