Modern Neutrals - Blog Tour

Hey all!

Today I have the chance to share a little look inside Amy's new book, Modern Neutrals.
If you remember I shared a little bit about this book a few months ago, but today I'm joining in the blog tour and sharing a little more. I am honored that I was able to machine quilt all of the quilts in this beautiful new book, thanks for letting me quilt for you Amy, but today I'm sharing two of my favorite quilts.
Pleated Patchwork
This cool quilt has so much texture. One of my favorite things about quilting and quilts in the texture, I love to run my hands over a quilt and feel the texture. This cool quilt has so much fun texture.

Digital Pinwheel- is a cool modern twist on a traditional pinwheel. I love this quilt in the neutral colors but can you imagine it in brights. It'd be so pretty!

Amy is giving away 10 digital copies of her new book Modern Neutrals. The give-away is simple,
simply hop click here and answer the question that's answer was stated in this post.

Have a great day and good luck in winning a copy!

Modern Blocks ~ Book Review ~ and a chance to win!

I'm sure you've seen this fun new book popping up all over. But today I get to share my little take on this great book.
Modern Blocks is a fabulous book featuring 99 Quilt Blocks (and patterns) by many well know designers and published by Stash Books.
I am so honored that I have to opportunity to share a favorite block of mine in this book.
Piece of the Garden is the block that I designed. I love hexagons but I'm just not patient enough to hand sew. So, I designed a traditional hexagon block that can all be made by machine..... with NO Y SEAMS! YAY!!
One of these days I really want to make a whole quilt using this block, and my scraps!
I have to share this little sneak peak of the back of the book. I was able to view the book a few times before my copy actually arrived and I never noticed the back cover. When it arrived I started examining the back cover and I almost peed my pants! There is my name! :)

Okay, so  you want a chance to win an ebook. Click here to see how you can win your own copy!

You can purchase a copy of Modern Blocks here.

Sweetwater's Simple Home

I recently picked up a copy of Sweetwater's book Simple Home.

as I'm thinking what I'm going to write in this post I'm thinking I totally sound like a stalker.
Anyways, I've been eyeing this book ever since I heard about it. I really love those Sweetwater girls, I love all of their fabric, I'm pretty sure I've made something out of every line they've come out with (notice how I placed the book on my Wrapped in Red quilt made with their fabrics)
Anyways,
open the book and it has 35 darling simple home decor ideas and items that I'd love to make for my own home.

This quilt is one of my favorites in the book. I love how it's so simple, but do you see what the quilting did for each of those little circles. LOVE IT!

I also really really love this wall-hanging. Seriously as many scraps of fabric as I have laying around here I could totally whip one of these up in a couple hours.

You can pick up your copy of Sweetwater's Simple Home here.

Modern Basics {Book Review}

I am so honored today to be able to review Amy's new book Modern Basics.
Let me tell you a little story. About a year and a half ago I stumbled across this blog called Park City Girl. I was so excited because I live about 15 minutes away from Park City, UT and was ecstatic about the idea that there was someone so close to me that had such a fun blog. I contacted Amy and realized that she actually lived in a little town near Park City, she lived in Heber, the same town as me!
Amy and I exchanged several emails and finally met in October of 2009. Amy has become one of my really good friends since then.
Shortly after I met Amy she told me a little secret about herself. She was writing a book! Amy needed a little help with the machine quilting of her 14 beautiful quilts and I was the lucky one that got to machine quilt each one of her quilts.
While quilting these quilts I became extremely fond of Amy's unique designs, I loved how simplicity yet detail that each pattern contains.
Above is a sneak peak of my favorite quilt in the book, it was very hard to choose but there is just something about this Knotted Squares that I love!
Right now you can pick up an autographed copy of Amy's book here. You can also find it on Amazon here.

Amy is also giving away a copy of her book Modern Basics. To enter to win a copy of Modern Basics simply become a follower of this blog and then leave one comment! Winner will be announced March 6, 2011.

You can enter to win this book each day for the next 12 days. Check out each of the blogs below to see how to enter.
