Okay, friends! Don't fall off your chair in shock, I'm actually back to blogging. I had no intentions of taking almost two weeks off, you know I'm generally pretty regular at updating the blog. The past two weeks have been a bit crazy for me.

Metropolis - Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts

Metropolis is a fun way to show off your favorite solid-color fabrics. This also could be a beautiful Americana quilt in more traditional reds, whites and blues.

Metropolis is another fun pattern from our book; Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts. I really love the crisp white and gray fabrics, they create a really modern feel, but when the blocks are put together with the red corners a red star is created and I love the traditional feel that gives the quilt.

Thankful - A Fall Quilt - Custom Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

With fall knocking on my door I guess it's only appropriate to be machine quilting fall quilts. This adorable quilt was made by the ladies at my local quilt shop, Quilted Works. They have a super cool laser so they are cutting kits for this adorable quilt with the laser. Super cool idea, the applique pieces already have fusible on the backing so once you get the kit you're just about ready to start sewing, saves so much time and headache.

Goody Goody Binding Kit!

My friend Vanessa from Lella Boutique has a darling tutorial on her blog for this fun Good Goody Binding Kit. 

Most of you know that I don't bind my own quilts, I send them to my mom, but when I saw how adorable Vanessa's binding kit was I just had to make one.

Merry Christmas - Custom Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

It's Christmas in August! Really, though, the other day I saw a little note saying that Christmas is in like 18 weeks! This year has gone by so fast. I really can't believe it's already August.

I've been busy this week custom machine quilting some adorable quilts, and this one did not disappoint. Donna made this adorable quilt, again, like most of her quilts she's got some amazing hand applique.

Floating Cabins - Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts

Grab a few of your favorite solid colors, cut your strips and begin sewing! This quilt is made from large pieces, so it sews together quickly. The block arrangement in this quilt creates a secondary block with a framed-square look. This would be an easy, yet interesting quilt for a beginner.
