I'm sure you've seen this fun new book popping up all over. But today I get to share my little take on this great book.
Modern Blocks is a fabulous book featuring 99 Quilt Blocks (and patterns) by many well know designers and published by Stash Books.
I am so honored that I have to opportunity to share a favorite block of mine in this book.
Piece of the Garden is the block that I designed. I love hexagons but I'm just not patient enough to hand sew. So, I designed a traditional hexagon block that can all be made by machine..... with NO Y SEAMS! YAY!!
One of these days I really want to make a whole quilt using this block, and my scraps!
I have to share this little sneak peak of the back of the book. I was able to view the book a few times before my copy actually arrived and I never noticed the back cover. When it arrived I started examining the back cover and I almost peed my pants! There is my name! :)
I love your pattern! This days i am thinking about the tradicional ones... baut, as you said i need a lot of patient to hand sew... This is really another way to think about it. Thanks!!
I received mine from Amazon last week. Fantastic book with a wealth of modern block designed. Congratulations, I am a hexaculturalist and was delighted to see you block.
