Ann made this gorgeous star quilt. She brought it to me for some custom machine quilting. Ann told me to custom machine quilt it as if it were my own, she wanted a more modern feel. Because I love feathers, and straight lines, and I had the go-ahead to machine quilt it as if it were my own, that's what I chose to quilt, feathers and straight lines!
I machine quilted feathers in the outer border, they really blend in, and I knew that they would, but that's okay!
I quilted straight lines in the blue background, I quilted them on an angle, I wanted to really play on the radiating look of the star.
I also machine quilted point to point straight lines in the main star. I love the texture that they added.
In all of the yellow, background fabric I machine quilted feathers, I chose to machine quilt them all facing clockwise, going around the quilt, this fun subtle bit of quilting creates movement on the quilt.
I love how this quilt turned out! Thanks for letting me machine quilt your gorgeous quilt Ann!
