Recently I had the wonderful opportunity of reviewing a great new product, COVERGIRL LashPerfection™.Before I tell you all about how awesome this new mascara is let me tell you a couple little things about me.I AM SHY!I HATE BEING IN FRONT OF PEOPLE!BUT! I REALIZE THAT SOMETIMES I NEED TO DO THESE THINGS!Okay, so you know that I'm shy and I hate being in front of people, what helps me build confidence in myself. Well, honestly there are a few factors that have gone into helping me build confidence and not be so dang shy, but a big one for sure is great make up. I don't love every little wrinkle, I don't love every little eyelash but when I can use fantastic make up to enhance the good things my confidence is totally built up and it isn't quite as hard for me to present a trunk show or share one of my new quilts. One big moment in my life that fantastic make up really helped me was this past spring when I presented for the new Moda Bake Shop Book at spring Quilt Market! So onto this great mascara!
MSRP $5.99It comes in Very Black, Black, Black/Brown and Brown.in the pictures below I used the Black/Brown, I've always been a straight-up black mascara user but I really am happy with this Black/Brown color.
This picture above is me with NO mascara on. BLAH, I would never go in public like this, seriously!
In this picture I am wearing the
COVERGIRL LashPerfection™" and I love it, I love that it doesn't clump as much as the mascara that I was using before!
I think that's because it has an awesome brush, the bristles are smaller than what I had been using so they seem to coat the lashes better while not clumping as much.Over all a great product!

ReplyDeleteMAKEUP DOES BOOST MY CONFIDENCE+ON MY DAUGHTERS WEDDING DAYS,I WANTED TO HAVE STAY-IN-PLACE MAKEUP, YOU KNOW TEARS OF JOY+MUCH HUGGING! THANKS FOR SHARING!

I started wearing contacts and noticed that I probably should be doing something with my eyebrows. At age 33, I started to powder my eyebrows and I got compliments on my new "look" w/o really doing anything grand. I noticed it frames my face so maybe I'll snag a guy. lol
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I've ever used makeup to add confidence (power from within ladies!), but I do love having long, dark sexy lashes to flash "the look" at my super cute hubs!
ReplyDeleteI don't wear make up everyday, but when I wear mascara, I always feel more put together. I definitely put it on when I have a meeting at work.

I don't know that I get more confidence when I wear make up, but I do feel more presentable.

I am in a band. I lOVE to sing and play, but I really don't like to be the center of attention! For gigs I like to go all out and use fun colours, bold products, and go all out! (on a normal day I am without makeup and in comfy clothes!) You know sometimes when you dress the part (make-up included) you feel the part!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have ever used make up for a confidence builder. I barely wear it at all, but I do like mascara. I like to put it on for Church and choir, but mostly to flirt with my hubby.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like something I would like to try. Covergirl Lash Perfection will go on my shopping list.

I don't feel completely dressed without makeup. It makes me feel more confident.
ReplyDeleteMakeup makes me feel more confident on a daily basis! I usually don't use much, but a little powder, some blush, and mascara work wonders for making you look put together. For big events, I definitely use foundation, eyeliner, etc. to look extra sassy! :P
ReplyDeleteI need to use makeup to cover an unsightly birthmark, especially necessary when I have to present something and want people to listen to what I have to say and not listen because they are staring at my face.
ReplyDeleteMakeup is so fun and it recently gave me the confidence I needed to attend my husbands graduation and feel great!
ReplyDeleteNow that I'm not working, I don't wear make-up everyday. So when going out for a special occassion or family function I "put my face on". I do feel more confident and put together when I do.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway and chance to win.

Um, how about every day of my life! Mascara—Cover Girl, specifically—is an absolute necessity in my life. I have strawberry blonde hair and pale, pale skin and blonde eyelashes that look non-existent without the miracle of mascara. And I will say that I've tried every brand on the planet, and except for a Mary Kay one that has been discontinued, Cover Girl wins!
ReplyDeleteWhat would we do without makeup ! I have short light colored lashes , so I'm in for trying this ! thanks for the review !
ReplyDeleteAhhh...I don't leave the house without makeup. I love knowing how it makes me feel pretty. But love the example of the mascara. Thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear makeup too much anymore, but my son just got married, so I made sure I wore it that day!

Every time I need to go into an important meeting or appointment (especially when I know it will be stressful) I put on full make-up. Having a well-made-up face can intimidate and convey a more professional appearance.
ReplyDeleteI’m not a make up person and usually don’t wear any or have very light make ups on. When I attend my husband’s company dinner, I wanted to look my best for him and I put full make up on and I sure felt great and more confidence meeting his colleges for the first time. We both had a wonderful evening at the event.

for my wedding! I knew that 100 pairs of eyes would be watching me during the entire ceremony and I hate being the center of attention, so I had my make up and hair professionally done so I looked and felt great, and it wasn't so bad after all :)

ReplyDeleteI try to at least wear a bit of lip stick when I leave the house. it makes me feel put together and like I did take a bit of time on myself and not just the 3 monkeys I loaded in the van!

I wear very light makeup daily (tinted moisturizer and little bit of blush). It makes me feel confident and pretty. The makeup on my wedding day was fabulously gorgeous and got lots of compliments.

ReplyDeleteI love wearing mascara. It always makes me feel confident. In fact I get compliments on my lashes because they are long and look great with mascara. Mascara has always been the one piece of make-up I always wear. I think I picked it up from my mom. She loves wearing mascara.

I've gotten lazy as the years go by and normally only wear lip gloss - but when I do wear make-up I get a real boost by the number of people who comment how good I'm looking :)

ReplyDeleteI wore some super crazy mascara for a job fair a few weeks back and it made me feel SO SO SO much more confident. I felt more awake and alert, somehow.
ReplyDeleteI was never comfortable wearing make-up. It always me feel conspicuous, and as a country girl, I shied away from it.
ReplyDeleteNow make up gives me confidence because the base I use covers up my aging spots! :)
ReplyDeleteI try not to leave the house without makeup on! It makes me feel pretty and productive. If I don't wear makeup, then I've been lounging around the house all day in my pajamas! Always mascara, I my super long eyelashes are my best feature!
ReplyDeleteI feel naked if I leave the house without mascara and eye shadow!
ReplyDeleteWhen I want to look my very bestest and feel confident.
ReplyDeleteJob interviews, business meetings and first (and second) dates... *grin*

ReplyDeleteA quick twirl of Mascara and a moderate swipe of blush helped me feel confident enough to make an amazing maid of honor speech for my best friend. :) I always thought I would grow out of my fear of talking to a big crowd, but nope same ol fear, but making sure my make up is just so and that I don't look half bad, sure helps :O)
ReplyDeletethanks for the opportunity! :)

I remember getting my makeup done professionally for prom and feeling like a princess!
ReplyDeleteI got my first job wearing different makeup then the kind I usually would wear.
ReplyDeleteI never felt more beautiful than on my wedding day. I never wear lipstick but my makeup artist picked the perfect shade for me and I felt so amazingly confident.

I had my makeup professionally done for my wedding and it helped make my day brighter and, since I cried all the way down the isle, I am glad they used waterproof makeup! LOL I knew I would cry a lot during the wedding, so that was one less thing to worry about!

After returning to the country from one year in Europe, I had to look for a job. I hadn't worn make up while overseas but I decided to put on my professional face and head with confidence into those job interviews. I was lucky enough to find a temporary placement that lead to a permanent job in my field.
