Lynne made this darling version of the Square Scramble quilt and sent it to me for some custom machine quilting. I actually custom machine quilted the original version of this quilt a few years back, you can check it out here. It's always so flattering when a client likes the original version so much that they ask for their to be quilted the same.
I loved quilting this quilt. I did use my statler stitcher to quilt those large gray squares. It's something that I could have totally done with a ruler, but since I have the statler stitcher, this was a great place to use it.
While I was quilting the quilt I snapped the image below and shared it over on Instagram, I had a few people ask if it was trapunto work on those gray squares. It's not, it's just the texture that is created from the batting and my machine quilting.

I made this pattern with sushi and ninja fabrics - looked great but still love the solid fabric choice. I meandered in the background area - too chicken to pebble that part. As usual great quilting!!!
