Piece N Share

I've been very very busy quilting, sewing & creating.:) Here are a couple of quilts that I've machine quilted recently.

This is one of those quilts that I love to hear about. This ladies mother made these blocks at least 40 years ago and they have hung around since then. This summer her mother passed away and she decided to finish them into a quilt. I just love to hear the stories behind quilts!

I quitled a feather in the corner of each block along with outlining each of the ladies. I love how it turned out!

You may remember a while back when I participated in the Scrappy Block Swap....well I wish I could say that this is mine all put together but it's not. My blocks are still sitting on the shelf waiting for me to get to work with them. Anyways, I quilted this one for Beth and she is going to donate it to charity! Thanks for arranging this swap Beth. I had a lot of fun participating in it and am going to get my blocks put together now!

Leave a comment, we'd love to hear from you.

Scrappy Christmas Block Exchange

We are participating in this Scrappy Christmas Block swap and we've got all of our blocks finished and will mail them out first thing tomorrow!

We made a total of 12 blocks, 6 of each of these the finished size is 12". There is a tutorial for them HERE. **WARNING** If you do make this tutorial you will have to make your last loop 2" instead of the 1.75" that she says.

We thought it's really neat that our blocks are going all around the world.

They are going to:
Salt Lake City, UT
Burnsville, MN
Dayton, OH
Thailand
Brooksville, FL
Portugal.

Wow, cool huh!

We made the blocks using The Caroler by Mary Engelbreit for Moda fabrics. We love how they turned out!
Thanks Beth, for letting us participate in this fun swap:)
