Wave Quilt

Teressa pieced this beautiful wave quilt as a birthday gift for her son.
Her son spent a couple years living in Jamacia so she made this beautiful quilt as a memory. So cool!
I machine quilted this fun swirly pattern all over with a nice variegated thread, to keep with the motion look of the quilt and I love how it turned out!
Thanks for letting me quilt this fun quilt Teressa!

Quilts for Twins!

Tina is absolutely amazing when it comes to creativity and technique.  I met Tina a few months back at The Sewing Summit and little did I know we live so close to each other. Tina pieced these two beautiful quilts for a friends twins. There is an amazing story that goes behind these quilts that is just amazing, everything in the quilts has symbolism and makes them so special.
The applique is all turned and done by hand and is just perfect!
They twins are boy and girl so the quilt above is for the boy and the one below is for the girl.
I machine quilted them for her and they were so much fun to quilt. I loved adding a little detail to make them special.
Thanks for letting me machine quilt these beautiful quilts Tina.

Owl ~ Baby Quilt

My niece is having a baby soon so it's time to shower her with gifts!
YAY!
She is having a little girl and going to decorate the nursery with owls.

So, my sister-in-law pieced this fun little quilt and I helped her out by adding the applique and then machine quilting it for her.
I love it!
It'll be so cute in the nursery.

I had to take a few close up shots to share the detail, I don't want to forget how cute it turned out.

Self Binding Receiving Blanket {my favorite free tutorial}

The last few weeks a little fire has been lit under me, since deciding it was time to figure out how to do embroidery applique I've been on a little kick! Figuring out and learning new designs, and it's really fun to do!
The other day Kathleen and I made this fun little Self Binding Receiving Blanket, I have a free tutorial here, then I added the embroidery applique and I love how it turned out!
I used Snuggles by Moda Fabrics for the center of the blanket and Fox Trails by Doohikey Designs for Riley Blake fabrics for the back (green) and the applique. I love it!
Fabrics are available at Fat Quarter Shop here and here.

Surf Shop

Jamie pieced these two darling quilts for her boys!
I love how they turned out. They totally remind me of the Pottery Barn and I LOVE Pottery Barn!
I machine quilted them for her, I wanted them to look good together but not be the exact same, so I machine quilted a swirly pattern on each of them but each pattern is just a little bit different.
They are just darling aren't they!

Pattern is Surf Shop by Emily Herrick of Crazy Old Ladies
Fabric is Going Costal also by Emily Herrick of Crazy Old Ladies for Michael Miller Fabircs

Scrappy Circle Quilt

A couple years back a bunch of my family got together and had a fun quilting retreat. We sewed and quilted a lot together but we had the most fun making these scrappy circle quilt blocks.
Ilene recently finished putting hers together and I machine quilted it for her.
It was a lot of fun to quilt and remember where so many of the fabrics came from.
Thanks for letting me machine quilt your scrappy quilt Ilene!!

Here is a picture of my version of the scrappy circle quilt.
