Wrapped in Red - On Kathleen's Bed!

When Kathleen and I pieced the Wrapped in Red quilt we made a couple coordinating pillowcases.
Now that the quilt is back from American Patchwork and Quilting magazine she decided to put it on her bed with those cute pillowcases.
We have a tutorial for similar pillowcases here!

Even though it's a little early for Christmas I love it!
Magazines and Quilt kits for Wrapped in Red are available here.

Merry Go Round {A Fun Jelly Roll Quilt}

Jane pieced this fun Merry Go Round quilt.
It's a Jelly Roll quilt, and it's pretty cool how it's put together.
I custom machine quilted it for her and it was fun to give those rows some fun textures.
Here is a little shot of the back, it has a pieced backing and on the solid fabric my quilting really shows up. :)

Hope you're all having a happy day!

A simple girl quilt!

Gayle also made this, well actually a few of this quilt, with her grand-daughters.

Super fun and simple, with raw-edge applique. I think it's a great project to get young girls excited about sewing!

I machine quilted this fun quilt.

A Simple Halloween Quilt

Gayle pieced this fun and simple Halloween quilt. The fabrics in it are so cute I think it's fun to just show them off!
Gayle wanted me to machine quilt an all over pattern, so I chose to quilt spiderwebs. They seem really fun for this time of year. :)
The spider webs are pretty subtle on the quilt top, that's generally how I like quilts to be quilted.
But, since it is a Halloween quilt I decided to be a little crazy on the quilt back.
I used a fluorescent green thread on her solid black back, and she loved it, and I do too! :)

Lots and Lots of Half Square Triangles

Joan pieced this beautiful Half Square Triangle quilt for one of her grand-kids. I think she did an AMAZING job!
There are a ton of half square triangles and they are all so perfect!
Since she is giving the quilt away she had me machine quilt an all over floral pattern. So bright and happy!

Gumdrop Pillow

I've been crushing on Hometown fabric ever since I first saw it at Spring Quilt Market. Those girls over at Sweetwater just keep getting it right!
So, a few months ago I made these pillows planning that they'd look so cute on my red couches.... well somehow they've never made it out of my parents home. I think my mom is secretly crushing on this fabric as much as I am. :)
Anyways....
I have been loving Amy Butlers Gum Drop pillows as well, so I decided to combine my two crushes and make myself a Hometown Gum Drop Pillow.
