I am so excited today to officially introduce you to our newest quilt pattern; Splice! I'm in love with this quilt! If you know Kathleen and I you know that we LOVE log-cabin style quilt blocks. We love them so much that we wrote a whole book based around them; Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts, so why not design a quilt that coordinates with our new fabric line, Thrive, that is log-cabin style.

Splice finishes at 72"x84", all of the blocks are 12" square and go together pretty quickly!
I really love quilts that create a bit of an optical illusion, that's probably why I love this quilt so much!
When it came time to machine quilt this quilt I decided to quilt it with a simple edge to edge figure 8 pattern. I want this quilt to be more of a functional quilt, so some times edge to edge quilting is the perfect fit.
I purchased the beginners book as well as the kindle version. I am about to embark on the orange slice quilt. according to the kindle version the patterns are printable, but the orange slices are no included on the printable patterns : (
