Kathy made this beautiful quilt and sent it to me for some custom machine quilting. Kathy didn't have anything in particular in mind for the quilting, except maybe some wine bottle and wine glasses.
This is one of those times when I get to combine my statler stitcher with my free-motion quilting and really have some fun with machine quilting.
The wine bottles and glasses were stitched with the statler, and then the ruler work and free-motion quilting that fills in all of the background are the free-motion quilting.
I love how it turned out, the wine bottles and glasses are so fun and playful and add something perfect to the large negative space.
Pattern is Moroccan Lullaby by Happy Quilting Melissa.
