My friends over at Fat Quarter Shop are pretty awesome and have introduced their newest quilt-a-long, Clementine. This fun quilt-a-long will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. I was able to custom machine quilt this fun quilt for Fat Quarter Shop and had so much fun quilting it.
Kimberly give me the go-ahead to quilt this quilt however I wanted, and I immediately knew I wanted to quilt feathers, but also extend the quilting beyond the seams.
I machine quilted feathers in all of the outer border, but if you look close you can see that I chose to extend the block design, from the blocks that appear to be set on point, out into the border. I love quilting like this. I love that I can create interest and draw you eye to a secondary pattern.
Hop over to Fat Quarter Shop's Jolly Jabber blog today to read more about this fabulous quilt and the great cause behind it.
