Carol pieced this fun minion quilt top, it's actually a panel and she brought it to me for some custom machine quilting.
Whenever I machine quilt panel type quilts I like to do a lot of outlining and try to really bring the panel to life with my machine quilting.
This panel had a background that almost looked like crosshatching, so I decided to play on those lines and machine quilt crosshatching in the background. Then I outlined on the minions, outlining every line that I could.
I quilted circles in the blue border, swirls in the minion border and then followed the straight lines in the outer border. I love adding to the quilt.
