Flame Quilt - Edge to Edge Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

Mark made this fun quilt and sent it to me for some edge to edge machine quilting. This was actually his first quilt and he did a fantastic job with it!

Right away I knew that this quilt needed some flames. The color palate that Mark used just screamed flames to me.

I wanted to add a bit of extra detail to this quilt, so when I machine quilted the flames I actually used three different thread colors. At the bottom of the quilt I used yellow thread, through the middle of the quilt I used a light orange thread and then at the top of the quilt I used a darker orange thread. You really have to look closely to realize that I did use the three thread colors, but I love the extra bit of detail that it added to the quilt.

Thanks for letting me machine quilt this beautiful quilt Mark!

I used Quilters Dream Batting and So Fine! thread by Superior Threads.

  1. Nice modern design! I am curious to know what will be used for binding?
