Introducing -- Barn Star -- A Quilt Pattern by Natalia & Kathleen

The Barn Star quilt pattern is another fun quilt featuring our new fabric collection, Thrive by Natalia and Kathleen for Moda fabrics.

This fun quilt is scrappy and could be made from a couple of charm packs, or some yardage. The quilt finishes at 58"x58", it's the perfect size to add a bit of color to your home, or a great wall hanging. You could even make four of the stars, put them together and make a nice large quilt!

I had so much fun custom machine quilting this quilt. Not many of my own quilts have my custom machine quilting on them. It seems as though I'm always last on the schedule and my quilts end up with simple edge to edge quilting. But, since these new quilt patterns are so special to me I knew that they each needed to have some of my special love. :)

If you look  closely you can see my favorite part of the custom machine quilting, I chose to ignore the pieced borders and quilt right through them. I love that, by quilting it like that it makes the star seem even bigger than it actually is.

If you didn't realize by now, our fabric collection, Thrive has a fun panel included in the collection. The panels include 6, 10"x10" squares all with fun quotes and then there are also four smaller labels. The panels are printed in all four colors. In the image above we made 10"x10" stretcher boards and then wrapped the panels around the boards. I love them!

The Barn Star quilt pattern is now available for purchase, you can pick it up on our website, or in your local quilt shop. Thrive fabric will be in stores fall 2017!
