The BIG Bed.

 Do you remember about a month ago when I used the power tools?

 

Well, I'm thinking that the hard work was worth it.

The best part of all is that this little big bed has now been used every night for the last two weeks!

She hasn't woken up a single time during the night and she has even been napping in it.

I don't know who likes this more, me Brad or Chesney.

Itty Bitty Babies

When one becomes two!

 I'm thinking that maybe Kathleen shouldn't have had the day off from her regular job today.

I had my new Moda Bake Shop quilt on the machine almost finished being quilted when she got the brilliant idea we should make two.

So, right now @ 8:40pm I am getting ready to start applique on the second quilt of the day.

That's right, I appliqued & quilted one quilt, then Kathleen and I pieced and now I am getting ready to do the applique on the second quilt.

It'll make more sense in a couple of days when you see the tutorial(s)

Until then, I'm back to my machine! :)

Quilt Guild!

I love to be inspired!

Tonight at quilt guild was nothing short of inspiring!

Jill from Jillily Studios was there and shared an amazing trunk show and her new book. Her new book is all about quilt retreats. Family quilt retreats. She makes me want to have one with my family so much. I love that many of the girls in her family aren't originally sewers but because of these retreats they have become sewers. I took lots of pictures but I left my camera in Kathleens' car. I will share more tomorrow but in the meantime you may want to check out Jills blog! You will be inspired!

Sew much sewing!

I visited Keepin the Castle the other day and was so excited to see "I'm Blushing" baby version. Head over to Nicoles blog to read all about it!

We've got a new Moda Bake Shop project well under way. Thank you so much to Whitnee for coming over today and helping me.

Do you remember these feathers that I quilted yesterday? Well I quilted this quilt today and she wanted custom quilting, a feather border so I added the same double feather. 

I am in love with this feather!

I think it's my new favorite!

Here is the finished quilt top. Buggy Barn Stars!

Feathers

My sweet customer made this darling blue and yellow quilt. She asked me to quilt something in the solid yellow blocks to give it detail. 

Here is what I did.

I love how it turned out.
