Jelly Roll Race Quilt

Teresa made this soft and beautiful floral Jelly Roll Race quilt.
She brought it to me for some machine quilting, we chose to machine quilt it in a soft floral pattern with a pastel green thread, the machine quilting really blended in nicely with her fabrics.
Love how it turned out!
Thanks for letting me machine quilt another one of your darling quilts Teresa.

Chicken Quilt

Last fall I traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was a fun couple days and I had a lot of fun teaching and helping the students in my classes create fun quilts.
One of the classes that I taught was Susanne McNeil's chicken quilt made from jelly-rolls.
Judy was one of the students in my class, I've actually met Judy a few times now and machine quilted several of her darling quilts.
During the class Judy was able to get all 6 of her chicken blocks pieced. She then went home and put the rest of the quilt together. I love how bright and happy her chickens are.
Judy then sent me her quilt for some machine quilting. We chose to quilt it with an all over pattern, chicken wire.
I love the look that it created.
Thanks for letting me quilt your darling chicken quilt Judy.

Email Natalia for more information about teaching and trunk shows.

Merry Merry Snowmen ~ A Winter Quilt

Merry Merry Snowmen seems to be quite the popular quilt around here! I think I've lost track of how many of these I've quilted, although they have all been from the same pattern, they have each had their own little twist making them so much fun to machine quilt.
This version was made by Brooks, it's super cute!
Of course this quilt needed to be custom machine quilted to really add to all of the fun things going on with the snowmen.
A few details about this quilt...
Fabric used is by French General for Moda Fabrics.
Pattern for Merry Snowmen is by Bunny Hill Designs, available here.
Fat Quarter Shop also has kits for this quilt available here.
Most of the machine quilting designs are taught in my book, Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting.

Posy Party Quilt

My local quilt shop, Seasons of Home is hosting a quilt book club, it's a fun little club and right now they are making Jill Finley's Posy Party quilt from her new book Home Sweet Quilt.
Beth made this version of Posy Party and I machine quilted it for her. It's so cheery, I love it!
I had a lot of fun machine quilting little details on this quilt, and outlining the applique to really make it pop!
Beth used minky as the backing so the quilt is super snuggly and the quilting really shows on the back.

A few details..
Pattern is Posy Patch by Jill Finley of Jillily Studios and is available in her book, Home Sweet Quilt.
Book club is going on now at Seasons of Home in Midway, UT.
All of the machine quilting techniques used on this quilt are taught in my book, Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting.

Hungry Caterpillar Birthday Party

We had a fun time celebrating my babies first birthday, we decided to go with "The Very Hungry Caterpillar"
We bought a few balloons and made a balloon caterpillar, got this idea from Catch My Party.
Hungry Caterpillar cupcakes, got this idea from Coco Cake Cupcakes.
Hungry Caterpillar fruit, oranges, apples, pears and plums that the Hungry Caterpillar ate.
We also ate cupcakes and ice cream cones just like the Hungry Caterpillar
Hungry Caterpillar grape kabobs, got this idea from Six in the Suburbs.

I still can't believe how fast this past year has gone and how fast he is growing up.
Bring on another year!

T-Shirt Quit

Colleen made this T-Shirt quilt for her boyfriend. She was pretty stoked about this quilt because he never shows any interest in the quilts she makes, but he actually asked for this quilt and he really likes it. I can totally relate to Colleen in this department, my husband has no interest in quilting. :)
Colleen did a fantastic job putting this quilt together, sometimes if not done right T-Shirt quilts can be very difficult to machine quilt, this quilt is not that way, it's pieced beautifully making the machine quilting go very smoothly and the final result, fabulous!
Since it's going to be a mans quilt Colleen wanted me to machine quilt a very masculine geometric pattern. I did and I love the result.

Thanks for letting me machine quilt your fabulous T-Shirt quilt Colleen!
