Quilting with Medallions

Bev pieced this quilt. It's a pretty simple 9 patch quilt.
When she brought it to me she wanted quilting that would really pop.
With the fabrics that she had chosen for the quilt top the machine quilting really blended in. But the back of her quilt is a tone on tone and boy did the machine quilting really pop!
So....
I've taken quite a few pictures to share the quilt backing. I am in LOVE with how it turned out!

This is the whole quilt backing.

A close up shot of the feather borders.

Then in the 9 patch blocks I machine quilted this feather medallion.

In the other large blocks I machine quilted this Fleur. I really wanted to Fleur to stand out so I used a contrasting thread color and then machine quilted some really small pebbles to give it some texture.

And, because I thought that the Fleur turned out pretty cool I thought that I'd make the template/pattern for the Fleur available for purchase. You can purchase it here as a PDF, .QLI or a .DXF file.

This is the backing of another one of Bev's quilts. I thought that the backing on this one turned out pretty awesome too! :)

Have a great day!
