Nonchalant - Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts

Nonchalant is an easy one-block quilt made in just tow colors plus white. Make blocks in two color-ways that are almost negative images of each other to create a lively addition to any room. Choose tow of your favorite fabrics and a nice neutral background color, and you'll be ready!

If you've been following my blog for very long you know that I really, really love mustard, gray and white quilts. Like, I love them so much I've made "a few" quilts in this color palate; Bow Ties, Beads and A-Maze Me were all made in these colors.

When Kathleen and I were deciding colors for the quilts for Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts we just knew that we had to include some mustard and gray. That's where Nonchalant was born, and I love her!

The pattern fro Nonchalant is written with three size options;
Baby 37"x37"
 Throw 61"x74"
Coverlet 99"x99"

The quilt shown here is the Coverlet size.
I really love this quilt and when I was ready to machine quilt it I chose to quilt an edge to edge wave pattern. Because the quilt is so geometric and crisp I really wanted to soften it up and add a tiny bit of curvature. I think the soft wave was the perfect touch!

  1. When I purchase more than three patterns by a designer I know the happiness will continue so I make up a note book just for that designer so that I can find the patterns quickly. While I realize that you have many many fans I just thought you might like to know that this fan has a special place for your patterns. Also, your tutorials are some of the best written and I have saved all of them as well. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents.

  3. I am a very new quilter, having just finished my first quilt. I would like to make this "Nonchalant" quilt for my daughter who just turned 21! Where can I buy the pattern?
