Stacked Up - Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts

I've been having so much fun introducing you to the quilts in our book; Cabin Fever: 20 Modern Log Cabin Quilts. I get so excited and can't wait each week to share another. Luckily there are 20 quilts in the book so I can keep sharing for quite a while!

This fun quilt is Stacked Up. Stacked Up is a cool variation of a Log Cabin quilt block. Fabric placement is key in this quilt, giving the quilt the look of blocks stacked on each other.

The pattern for Stacked Up is written in three sizes; Baby 34"x34", Throw 68"x68" and Coverlet 102"x102". The quilt shown here is 102" and it fits quite nicely on a king size bed.

Kathleen and I made the original version with solid-colored fabrics, however, it'd be adorable using prints.
When I machine quilted this quilt I chose to quilt an all over/edge to edge pattern. I used our Geometric Pearls pattern. I love the little bit of curvature that it adds to this very crisp modern quilt.
