Edge to Edge Machine Quilting by Natalia Bonner

I love custom machine quilting, however, I do not think that every quilt needs to have custom machine quilting. I believe there is a place for both edge to edge and custom quilting.
Cat designed and made this beautiful quilt. Cat chose to have me machine quilt an edge to edge pattern on this quilt and I absolutely love how it turned out. I love the playful feathers mixed with some swirls.

I love how Cat has taken a traditional quilt block, but by adding in two blocks that are unlike the others  she made this quilt have some really cool interest.
I machine quilted this quilt using an edge to edge pattern called Venice.

  1. I agree. You always do such a great job and coordinating the design of the quilting with the pattern of the quilt. Very nice!

  2. I'm happy to hear that you feel there's a place for edge to edge quilting. I'd love to have custom quilting on my Metro Rings quilt, but seeing the one you quilted edge to edge lets me see how it can look great with an all-over pattern too. Cat's quilt is a great version of Traditional meets modern with those individual blocks!

  3. Is Venice edge to edge available? Very effective.
