Machine Quilting {and a quilt with a cause}

Colleen made and I machine quilted this darling throw. She is going to add some flowers to that white section. I think it'll be so cute when she is done!
I machine quilted this darling Valentines Day wall hanging. Super cute and simple!
This pic turned out a little blurry, but...... My sister-in-law pieced this fun throw and I machine quilted it. It's going to be auctioned off at fundraiser for a local boy and his family next week. If you want to read a story that will just break your heart just read this article.  I am married into a family with 8 boys and they eat, sleep and drink wrestling. So you will understand why this quilt touched my heart.

Today is officially the last day to vote for Kathleen in the McCalls Quilt Design Star Contest. Please take one last minute and vote for her! :)

    Your quilting is really pretty.

    I read that article. Yes it is a sad story. I hope he continues to get feeling back.

  2. Things like that make us feel so helpless but what a great idea for a fundraiser and for her to make this quilt!! I did the same thing when an 8 yr old boy died here in GA ~ we use our gifts however we can!! Praying for the family!!

  3. I also, made a quilt to raffle. The quilt was for medical expenses for a 5 year boy with brain cancer. I live in a small rural town of about 3,ooo people. It raised 2,000 dollars. The total for the benefit was 20,000 dollars. Love my neighbors. May you raise as much or more. Also voted for your Mom, she designed beautiful quilts for this challenge.
