Social Butterfly- The Quilt

It's almost time for International Quilt Market, which means....lots of late nights quilting and my poor blog suffering because everything that I've been quilting is "top secret" for another week or so. :) Some of my quilty friends have started to share what they've been up to just a little bit early, so I get to share what I've been up to......lots of machine quilting. :)

My friend Vanessa of Lella Boutique has a new fabric line coming out with Moda Fabrics, this line is called Gooseberry, you can read all about the new line and check out all of Vanessa's new patterns over on her blog.

I am super exited to share one of the quilts that I was able to custom machine quilt for her.
Social Butterfly
The quilt is so adorable, and the butterflies are to die for! I had so much fun machine quilting this quilt. When Vanessa brought it to me, her only big request was to give the butterflies some antennae's. I can handle that! :)
I had so much fun free-motion quilting this quilt.
Vanessa used a solid white backing, those are always fun with custom quilting, I love how they really show off the machine quilting.

You can pick up a copy of the Social Butterfly pattern from Vanessa.

For this quilt I used Quilters Dream Poly Deluxe batting and So Fine! thread by Superior Threads.
