Star Crossed Sew-Along with Fat Quarter Shop

I'm excited today to share a fun quilt that I recently made, a quilt that is just for me, a quilt I really get to keep!

This adorable quilt is made from Fat Quarter Shop's new pattern Star Crossed. It was super easy to make and I had a lot of fun making such a traditional style quilt in more "modern" fabrics.



I used Cotton + Steel Basics Shag Carpet XOXO fabric and some Moda Bella Solid fabric, I really love the color combo.
When I was ready to machine quilt this fun quilt I first thought I'd quilt some really awesome feathers, but then I decided that I wanted to keep it super crisp and quilt some fun straight lines. I stitched the straight lines 1/4" apart, generally when I quilt straight lines I keep them about 1/2" apart, so quilting them this close was super heavy, but I really love the final result, totally worth it!

    The straight line quilting on this one is perfect. Love it, even though I'm not wild about that green. You're making me want to buy that green (how is that possible?). Great finish!

    I am so glad you did this in the green and white. I have been looking for a quilt to make for my sister, and she likes green. This is so pretty and modern, I love how the white pops!
