Last week I spent a couple of days custom machine quilting this beautiful quilt for Cat. Cat did a great job deigning and piecing this quilt so it was so much fun to add a little bit of quilting detail to the quilt.
Cat is a traditional girl at heart, she loved feathers and swirls. I knew right off that this quilt could have some really beautiful more traditional machine quilting, with my little twist.
I used my favorite Quilted Pineapple Rulers to add some curvature to the outside of the quilt, and then had some fun free-motion quilting feathers, pebbles and some straight lines.
The quilt back was pieced, and there was a section of solid colored fabric, where the machine quilting really stood out. I love how this turned out!
Thanks for letting me machine quilt for you Cat!

Absolutely spectacular free-motion quilting that just makes this quilt an amazing heirloom. Great job.
