Over the last month, or so, I've been machine quilting several quilts from my friend Cat. She and another friend Shantelle are going to have a special exhibit at HMQS this May - Sisters by Choice, so I've been helping her to finish several of her quilts.
I shared Cat's beautiful Bear Paw quilt yesterday, and today I've got another one of her beautiful quilts that I custom machine quilted for her.
I mentioned yesterday that Cat is a traditional girl at heart, so she loves feathers, swirls, all the good classic traditional quilting patterns. So, that's exactly what I stuck with on this beautiful quilt. I included a some crosshatching as well and really love how it turned out.
When I layed the quilt out to photograph the morning sun was coming in the windows just right, so I had to snap a photo of the back of the quilt.
Thanks for letting me machine quilt for you Cat!

ReplyDeleteyep, beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! Your quilting is amazing and I love the brown fabrics...so warm and cozy looking!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! You and Cat make a great team!
ReplyDeleteI agree. A great team indeed.
ReplyDeleteI piece comforters (to be knotted) for Mennonite World relief -- always looking for patterns that make up faster than a lot of small scrappy patterns. They like the size 60 x 80 -- do you think I could adapt your large patterns to get close to this size? If so, how do I buy your patterns. I will add your Mom to my prayer list. God bless you, as you help her by selling patterns. Irene Krall
